Yep, Jennings is kinda IN... gets him out of the City-Country mix anyway.

I agree Peats, Paulo and Moeroa will likely get names to play in CIty-Country, probably with Scott rested (as an expected NSW selection).

Would be surprised if Foran and Ma'u aren't in the Kiwi squad, leaving just Edwards and maybe Terepo for the Pacific match?

Assume no JWH, RTS out and Warriors form being rubbish, we might even win this one.

But what we should do is have an annaul Pacific Islander v Kiwi Origin game, played at some stage alongside the State of Origin series.

The best of the guys from this weekend's Fiji-Tonga-Samoa-Cook Islands matches, facing off against the New Zealand side mid-way through the year, while our rep hopefuls play NSW-Qld games. If some of the "lesser" national sides are getting two guaranteed games per year - and sometimes more if there are off season series/world cups organised - then it won't just become a choice between choosing to play for Australia or for your home country (that never really plays).

But he gets more money playing for Aus than the games you mention!:crazy::crazy:

There is a lot of ignorance around about Semi at the moment but if he is now an Australian citizen, it is his choice.

It would be good for the international game if Semi could play for Fiji, but sadly their so no money in it for him. Until international RL is made a priority this will continue to happen. And him playing for Australia could help us keep him when his contract is up.

Paul Kent produced a cats bum face last night over Semi's selection. He's not happy !

I don't see an issue with it. We have tennis players or divers or gymnasts pledging their allegiance after obtaining residency. No different. They're off to the Comm or Olympic Games with our 100% support. Why are we divided over Semi ?

The f**king Kiwis have been picking the eyes out of Polynesia in both codes for 100 years,

Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney holds no fears that any Warriors players he selects will carry over their indifferent NRL form into next week's Test against Australia in Newcastle.

The Warriors have just three wins from eight matches this year, and languish in 13th place on the ladder after Monday's 42-0 loss to Melbourne.

"They didn't perform well last night, and I'm sure the Warriors coach isn't happy with the way they're playing," Kearney said on Tuesday.

"But I'm pretty confident that once we get them into the Kiwis environment, we can get them on board with what we're after."

Kearney said it had barely been a week since the Warriors played their best game of the season, beating the Bulldogs 24-20 in Wellington.

And he said the given wisdom 12 months ago was that he shouldn't pick Shaun Johnson for the Anzac Test in Brisbane, won 26-12 by the Kiwis.

"People were saying I shouldn't be selecting Shaun, and he was one of our best players in that particular Test match.

"Once they get into our environment, we can get them up to speed."

Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga named his squad on Tuesday, including four players set to make their Australian debut.

Among the newcomers in the 19-man squad was Fijian flyer Semi Radradra, alongside Kangaroos rookies Blake Ferguson, Michael Morgan and Josh McGuire.

Radradra nominated for Kangaroos selection earlier this month after qualifying under residency requirements. He has previously played four Tests for Fiji.

Kearney had no problems with Radradra's selection in an Australian squad which he said contained few surprises.

"The rules say he can play for Australia. That's for Mal and the selectors, and I'm sure they're comfortable with it.

"Whoever they pick in the Australian jumper, they're always going to be a quality team," he said.

"For me, my focus is on who we're going to select in our team."

Kearney will name his Kiwis squad for the May 6 Test on Sunday evening as the New Zealanders hunt their fourth successive win over Australia.

Semi's choice is totally legit, as is Mal's to select him.

My point is the game should cough up some money so that Islanders v Kiwi Origin is worth the same to players as selection in State of Origin, and that Fiji v Tonga v Samoa v Cooks/PNG is worth to same to as playing a test for Australia. It'd be loss making, but it's an investment in the game's future that would (eventually) be recouped in broadcast rights.

Because we're shit in the Olympic Games (and never certainties in the Commonwealth Games) and we don't care about the growth of either international competition. I'd rather let foreigners play Origin than make them eligible for Australia. In fact you shouldn't be allowed to play for Australia or New Zealand if you're eligible for any other country. That includes the grandparent rule.

it seems crazy that as an australian citizen semi can get a nsw drivers licence, australian passport, pay taxes, enrol to vote or even run for senate but as soon as he tries to play for australia people say hey he's fijian!!
