Very happy with the two Sunday arvo slots. Definitely should be the big game event of the week. Screw Friday nights.

Fine with the fact we probably won't be at ANZ until Round 4, means we'll get those games at the back end, unlike this year where our last 3 games were at the SFS...

I think they did that intentionally to build a Sundday "Event" slot.

If so, id personally rather they commited fully and and made this an ANZ stadium slot.

Yep make a super sunday family day at ANZ, big game of the round, ideally a sydney derby. Make it free to all NRL full members. Lots of stuff going on for families and to entertain kids, Food fair and beer tent outside the ground etc etc, aim for a 40k crowd every weekend and make it a must do event for locals and tourists in Sydney. We can but dream.....

Probably because it's not finalised?

Previous years they have released & found issues.

Perhaps they are still checking for any problems?

Have they not heard of deliverables and accountability?

It is amateur time at the NRL again.

But it is a shit ground to watch football at. I'd rather watch it on TV than drive all the way out there and just watch the games on the big screen anyway! You can do all this at other home grounds, Cronulla does on Sundays.

But once you start talking about crowds of +40k, the day becomes more about the atmosphere and the event.

The reason for doing this at ANZ specifically would be to do it for many different teams. Forget about the XvsY sales pitch and build it as a great sydney event to turn up to for neutral fans as well...

Gibbsy on 2UE this arvo apparently said it won't be out tomorrow... and unlikely to be this week either.

This is despite the NRL openly saying this week publicly...

Panning out same as last year. Media say one thing the nrl say another, neither are right and the fans are screwed into waiting until january.

I and i suspect many others wait until the draw is out before deciding on the level of club membership so it should be a key goal to get it out before now as we are closing in on the heavy christmas spending season

And another thing, every single 2016 jersey should be out by now as well

They're inept and clueless, yet wonder why league is losing to the AFL. The AFL made it clear when the draw would be out and delivered. Once again we're screwed around.

I am waiting for the draw before buying a membership

I'm already pissed off that we only get 10 home games and the Gosford one isn't included in the membership price

On top of that, I have real problems getting to Saturday and Sunday afternoon games because of family commitments. Plus I also flat out refuse to attend a Monday or Thursday fixture as I don't agree with midweek scheduling and I won't support it

I prefer Friday and Saturday night games over any other time slots
I can deal with two or three Saturday or Sunday arvo games over the season, but last year they were the bulk of our pre round 20 games. If we get the same I will have to decide if I only buy a 4 game pass instead of a fully ticketed one.

And you can bet the AFL already has the draw release date set for 2016, timed just right between the grand final and draft to maximise media coverage. Don't get why the NRL runs this amateur hour act every single year. It's like they get to Labour Day and suddenly remember they have to start planning for next season.

ill take a guess and say its the TV contracts. they probably have to fight tooth and nail to get any leeway from Nein which makes it difficult to predict when the draw will be out. As well as managing the usual venue allocations, team preferences etc.

will hopefully be a lot easier to get done in 2018.

I doubt they are leaks, they seem more like teasers....

They have done this previously, and to great effect; they claimed a weeks work of front pages during last years summer when they had no right to any coverage.

If this is a deliberate campaign, then they are doing a great job (all you lot are talking about it). But, yes, if they are still putting it together then this all is amateur (unlikely though, itd be impossible to leak games if the draw wasnt finished. A single change would have dramatic knock on effects that would see many of these "leaks" changed)

Interesting that channel 9 are listed as covering the Easter Monday game b/w Eels and Tigers... holiday Monday fixtures, apart from when the Roosters V Dragons ANZAC day game falls on a Monday have usually been Fox's domain...

For the last five years, the AFL Fixture has always been out on either 29, 30 or 31 October from what I can see. So you could almost pinpoint that being it again next year.

From what I understand the clubs had the draw on Monday and everything was set for Tuesday release - then a telephone hookup was cancelled and it appears some clubs were unhappy with a couple of things. It's possible someone missed an unacceptably short turnaround like happened 2 years ago.

Important to note the disclaimer in that article that unless it has CONFIRMED marked next to it, any detail can change. Indeed now it says FOX
