Very healthy attendance of 12,265 at Hull FC's home victory against Salford. this is up on both hull's home opener last season and their home game v Salford.

Unfortunately poor wet weather limited the turnout at St Helens to something slightly under 10,500.

Not bad crowds for the first four games, all in winter evenimgs so a tough sell

Good signs both on and off the pitch. The weather in Hull was nothing like that at Wigan.

11,011 at Hull KR vs Castleford yesterday. 5,240 at Wakefield vs Widnes.

Great attendances. The Wakefield attendance looks poor but in the circumstances of hosting Widnes in mid Winter it was great and the Hull turnout was excellent.

Almost 24,000 turned out in Hull this week.

All in all an excellent start with the St Helens attendance the only slight disappointment but it was a filthy day weather wise.

One of the better attended opening rounds of late. Could the new format actually be a win for attendance after all?

Is anyone going to mention the god-awful new website?
www.rugby-league.com - for all things rugby league in the UK.
Gee wiz it is such a downer from the previous SL website.
I get that it combines all the leagues, the rfl and team england, but it's terrible attempt.

We used to be able to watch highlights from each game on SLTV. Now it is geo blocked.
Sky website is good, but video content is geo blocked.

Leeds thrashed by Widnes. Warrington with back to back early season wins and Castleford beat Wakefield.

Lots of unpredictability so far.

Warrington probably best pleased after first two rounds. 2 wins and winning with authority.

Saints and leeds could get spanked next week. Cowboys are 1-17 from the GF so anything is possible.

Catalans comtinue to disappoint, the have a squad full of aussies who would be NRL starters and some very talented frenchmen so should be challenging. Is it a mental/discipline thing for them? Why is that clown gigot at fullback instead of escare

And yes i find the new we site inferior. Seems to be slower at getting info on such as match reports, attendances and lineups. Plus i seem to be locked oit of video content due to being overseas. Anyone else have this problem?

Leeds sounded very poor. Also lost Ablett, Briscoe and Golding during the game with identical knee injuries weirdly. That had nothing to do with the result though. They were already 16-0 before Briscoe went off.

Next week will be tough though. No form and missing half a team. I can see a spanking on the horizon.

Leeds Injury List: Briscoe; McGuire; Ward; Ablett; Golding and possibly Falloon and Singleton

Possible line up next week

Hardaker
Handley
Watkins
Moon
Hall
Sutcliffe
Lilley
Galloway
Burrow
Cuthbertson
Ferres
Keinhorst
Delaney

Achurch
Garbutt
Walters
Baldwinson/Mullaley

Should be fun viewing

Well it is the amateur league where teams only show up half a season and even then, the standard isn't that good.
