I think the style of footy we played this weekend for the most part was not far removed from the way BA wants us playing in the competition real. That was probably the biggest difference I saw between us and our opposition in that we tried to stay cohesive in defensive and attacked through the middle and didn't use the extra space as a reason to just throw Hail Mary passes at every opportunity, and for the most part, it worked. I think that bodes well for us moving forward.

In our first games we were doing a lot of short passing between forwards up the middle. We went away from that in our last games. I love the tactic and I hope we continue with it throughout the season proper. We have quite a few forwards with decent ball skills. It's the best way to utilise them. Nathan Brown seemed quite adept at the sort pass. Would like to see Tepai running off him at speed. Would create a lot of line breaks I think.

I'm with you on this one. The pass at the line is a great way to challenge the defence.
