An entire competition consolidated onto one team and the sport is thriving there.
But of course Sydney is difference because.... reasons.
Because Brisbane Broncos was a new team for a better & thriving competition while most of the old teams remained in their competition in a town where Rugby League was already king.
Removing Sydney teams to create scarcity, will just remove the fans in place in the potential of outside markets that DONT have a league mindset and the potential that in 20+ years after the damage done by removing Sydney teams and the fans that those teams had are lost that maybe the new generations of kids will support one of the few Sydney teams left.
Melbourne is not Sydney.
Brisbane is not Sydney.
And Perth is definitely not Sydney.
Stop f**king comparing them when the history, geography and climate are incredibly different.
