2017 Draw

I'm finding NRL fans are becoming more & more dissatisfied with the running of the game & it the depth of disillusionment is growing.
So I think it's dangerous for the NRL to take it's fans for granted.
It's a lot of things , from the comical inconsistencies of the judiciary , to silly impractical time slots for games where most fans can't attend due to it being on too early.

Our game doesn't have the strongest attendance culture as it is
We continue to exacerbate this & erode it further by allowing time slots that don't even give fans a chance to attend even if they wanted to !

I don't think any *more* fans are dissatisfied with the NRL than at other points in history - I simply think more people have a voice to express it without filters (i.e. social media), something that has grown massively in the last decade.

The NRL doesn't make smart decisions all the time but I don't think they take their fans for granted.

I think the NRL need to remember that the fans who pay to go to games and contribute financially have jobs

the NRL really needs to get the draw out quicker because clubs are already acquiring members for the following season and members are basically prodding in the dark

I agree with you all. The NRL Draw should have been out by now. If the AFL can release their draw in late October, with little problems, then why cant we do it? We have to wait until sometime in December for it? What a laughing stock we are!

We all know that the Broncos will play on a Friday night all year long. And are the "Public Holiday games" still the same for next year? AKA Dragons v Roosters on ANZAC Day? Who-ever plays on Good Friday and Queens Birthday etc?

while the 4 nations are being played there is still interest in the game. once that has been done and dusted the draw will come out, and people will keep its interest up

with the world cup next year the draw will possibly even be released later than this year

The current interest in Rugby League is the Four Nations, why double up on that during the tournament when it can be released after the final and give the NRL leverage all the way to early December.

The AFL released theirs last week because it was a handy gap between the end of the trade period and the upcoming Draft. They also have less venue clashes to deal with - NRL uses many of the same grounds as the A-League and Super Rugby which overlap into our season so there's more to manage around that - almost all cricket meanwhile has been finished by the time the AFL season starts.

Warriors haven't had a home game in R1 since 2012, they deserve one this time round and will probably be stuck with the shittist timeslot that is 6pm EASTERN/8pm NZ which doesn't help families or travelling fans living in NZ

Well at least the kickoff time will be 8pm.
Try getting to the start of a game that starts at 6 pm on a work day !!

I think you should be getting used to that spot just quietly for home games...

Biggest individual grudge match of the season??

Because the Tiges reserve grade hooker went to Souffs??
The NRL does take supporters for granted and the media think they're idiots . . . the reason most of we here bother with forums

Todd doesn't celebrate Christmas.... hopefully it's out befoer the next Yom Kippur....

Hanukkah starts on 24th of December 2016

Whenever it's a leap year Hanukkah and Christmas occur at a very similar time
This is because every fourth year the Jewish Calendar inserts the additional month to make up all those 2 and 3 day gaps that the lunar calendar misses out on as it occurs on a 28 day cycle.

The other 3 years, Hanukkah occurs in early December

The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) occurs in September. The NRL equivalent of Yom Kippur is Mad Monday as those that missed the 8 need to atone for their sins by getting spastic drunk in fancy dress.
