No rugby league fan on the planet thought it was a try now, and right now the only ones who think it should have been a try are a portion of panthers fans.
I agree that the rule book is too vague to deal with the situation, and that tied the bunker's hands into making a dumb call.
The on field ref should have called it a knock on in play and no one would have argued
I don't really get this arguement. The ref had every opportunity to call it a knock on but he didn't think it was.... so if there was no bunker, it would of been a try anyway. Is it a dumb call because you disagree with it? Would it be crazy to think the referee standing 5 metres away from the incident actually had an opinion and thought it was a try rather then just had a random guess?
Archers backed him up, bill Harrigan as well. They must be panther fans too??
