Different rules for the big three. It was a penalty. But once again consistency is an issue. I've seen cooper cronk do that several times this year without repercussions
Refs and channel nine keeping the cows in it

If the on field ref didn't pick it up and Maloney scored the bunker wouldn't even have looked at it.The difference is that a break was made right through where the marker would have been if not held back.
That doesn't usually happen.
Yes I am.Really are you ducked in the head.
No it doesn't.Happens 10 times every weekend with nothing

Like a lot of things. But the on-field ref did pick it up. Not sure what you're trying to argue really. If the on field ref didn't pick it up and Maloney scored the bunker wouldn't even have looked at it.
The problem is how far the refs have moved away from the black and white of the rule book over the last 5 years and made a lot more grey and dependent on the situation and absolute severity.Good to see some strong correct calls being made for once.
The real shame is that we're surprised, because everything that happened in that last 5 minutes was ruled exactly as per the laws of the game.
Agreed, but completely inconsistent as usual.Correct decision to penalize the marker obstruction and the Maloney sin binning. Good decisions refs.
Parra don't seem to like the favourites tag.
The Cowboys could be a real banana skin for them.
2005 must still scar them.
Bugger that just sin bin cheats for 10 minutes and watch that type of play disappear. Why should refs feel bad or conflicted about punishing cheating teams/players?Bring back the 5min sin bi
Yeah. God forbid anyone should have a shot at the officiating.Like a lot of things. But the on-field ref did pick it up. Not sure what you're trying to argue really.

That's great and all, but why wait untilGood to see some strong correct calls being made for once.

No they haven't. They don't use it nearly often enough. Watch any other sport and you see dismissals much more often.Refs have gone sin bin happy.
