The Deadpool movie wasn't made by Marvel.

Marvel would still own the rights to the image (they need to be able to do the comics), they only sold the film rights off to Sony and Fox...

I'd imagine that movies is where they make their money these days. The jerseys are essentially a sponsorship from Marvel. They're not going to pay good money to promote deadpool, which in turn is only going to make Sony more money.

Once again, the promotion is based on the Marvel online game, which is not the films, so Deadpool could have been involved.

Really like the Roosters Spiderman jersey. Its probably the best of the superhero jerseys this year. Though our second Captain America jersey (worn in that game where Evans smashed kasiano) would be the best superhero jersey of all time

I hope this is the last season of these they are going down hill at a rate of knots.
Unless you're really into Marvel you wouldn't even recognise half of them and now switching around the teams just shows how tacky it all is.

Maybe it's my age and because I have never read comics, apart from VIZ, I'm just not feeling the love for these. To me they look tacky, they lack identity for the clubs involved.

Sure they'll end up selling heaps and making money for the NRL and clubs but just think that it's time to put an end to these cartoon jerseys, think it cheapens the NRL and yes I realise I'll be in the minority in not liking these but meh!

I'm pretty much in the same boat but don't know what VIZ is. When you talk about teams losing identity, we now have the Roosters and Knight having worn a near identical (Spider-Man) jersey.
