It's amazing what can happen when the club actually focuses on memberships and is effective in engaging the fans.

They did an ok job of it for the 2013/14 seasons but it was bizarre how little they seemed to care for the 2015/16 seasons.
Didn't they hire a new person this year that's got a bunch of experience?

They did. Came from Richmond AFL and had enormous success in building them to one of the biggest membership bases in Melbourne.

While I can't see those sorts of numbers ever being achieved, you can just feel it in the club's approach this year that there's alot more focus and professionalism in the way it's being done. Really hope it continues into the new year and the lead up to the season.

Tigers on 9835 according to their offical website

That's huge for us at this time of year

Membership department has gone from completely inept to partly competent.

They still don't return emails or calls.

I had to call twice to renew my membership. Sent an email asking about something else on Wednesday and haven't heard anything back.

I definitely agree.

The Nrl needs to force membership KPIs and force clubs to direct nrl grant funds to the membership team at each club. This day and age with the current situation fans shouldn't be waiting to buy memberships.

so 173,000 at 1/12/16, all clubs reporting numbers now

this time last year we were at 128,562 (4/12/15)
but with 3 cubs still not having reported numbers , esitmating for some sort of comparison at say 6K each
so 147,000 approx
a near 20% increase

interestingly , Souths had 24600 members at this time last year , and only 21000 atm
still good , but still down

2015 numbers at this time we had 119,327 (1/12/14) again with 3 clubs not reporting numbers , so say 5K per club
134,000 approx

growth is very strong atm
very strong
lets hope it continues

Since when does 9,835 get defined as "cracked the 10,000 mark"?

they haven't made the top 8 once in the 5 seasons! that's not an improvement!

EVery club goes through dark days...being a souffs fan you should know all about that...oh wait you only jumped on the bandwagon

Hard not to argue the Tigers future looks bright these next few years anyway on and off the field.
