I'm going to really miss Nate Myles swinging arms and leading with the head in his tackles.

One of Origin's truly great thugs played his last game last night.
Legend. To stand with hands by your side while supposed boxer hits you twice and cannot drop you. Then they change the rules of the game directly from that.

Christ, in 3 posts you've gone from Pearce getting a pass mark, to being good, to being best on field. Just face it. You chooks fans can't be unbiased.

The fact is he should be better on his 16th appearance.

Did you miss quote me? I'm not a chooks fan. Maybe I missed something because I'm tired.

Mate, plenty of people followed teams before 1988.

If they had any gumption about them, they weren't going to just jump ship to the Bronco's because they got admitted into the NRL.

Edit: and the other Qld teams you mention.
What is this gumption you speak of? I was a Brisbane Norths Devils and Canterbury supporter before the Broncos but when the Broncos entered the NSWRL in 88 i still supported the Devils but dropped Canterbury for the Broncos like a hot potato. I suspect many other Queenslanders also dropped their Sydney teams once we had a local team of our own to support.

I hope NSW win the series 3 blot and Pearce gives all the arsehole NSW fans the finger.
Yeah that would really devastate NSW fans... who only have issue with him because he has never won us a series and has been the worst Origin half ever.

I hope he goes and wins 10 in a row and becomes the best half the world has ever seen. But realistically any win is on the back of other players. Not him.

No, most people on here absolutely want him to fail and there is literally nothing he can do to change their mind (especially Penrith fans). A realistic appraisal of his performance last night could only result in a pass mark. He was good for the 50 minutes he was on the field and did the job he was asked to do.
Talking out of your ass.

This game is NSW vs QLD. Clubs dont matter here. NSW fans want their team to win. Simple as that. Pearce makes the odds at winning far less likely.

In a Roosters fans opinion their club halfback was good. Everyone else saw him have very little effect on the game as usual and watched NSW pile on points quickly once he left. That final 30 minutes was the best all round display by the blues in a decade. Defence was incredible and we have never scored points so quickly and easily as we did then.

We are happy to win. If Pearce suddenly stopped being shit at Origin and could win us a few series everyone would be behind him 100%.

No one has issue with Cordner being in the team. Or being captain. Because unlike Pearce he hasnt let us down. The clubs these teams play for are irrelevant. Roosters and Panthers have nothing to do with it. Pearce being a shit Origin player is the sole reason he cops it.

Everyone else on here. I don't think many roosters fans have defended his poor origin record. It speaks for itself. But last night he was good and that's the point. Don't think I've read a single media article that has bagged his performance. If Pearce has been the core problem and reason we piled on points after he went off why didn't it happen in 3 games last year? We scored 2 tries while he was on and he was involved in both. We scored 3 when he was off. One off an error and one an individual dart over.

The media love him because he is a walking headline. He's on the farging back page all the time. They are waiting for him to redeem himself and are quick to trump up anytime he might have a good game.

Gus said before he went off that he was having a wow of a game. Come on. On no ones terms was he having that. Fifita and ted yes.

Most people thought he was average. Roosters fan think he was pretty good. Fine. Saying he was the best half on the park is laughable

I assume Roosters fans love Pearce because he's led them to so many premierships.

Or is it because when they make the finals he turns to shit when the pressure gets turned up?

To be fair about it the individual dart over was caused because of Bird who attracted defenders in his run and got a quick play the ball and he had directly replaced Pearce. Would they still have scored that with Pearce on?

Hilarious. So Pearce also got tacked 5-10m from the line when he ran the ball but because no one scored from dummy half somehow it proved that jack bird did more than Pearce. Hahaha wow.

And Fifita try happened because QLD shit themselves when Pearce went off and dropped the ball. Had he been on they would never drop the ball. Thanks for the laughs.
