Qld got very close to scoring four times, despite the limited opportunities they had on nsw line. Add JT, particularly his kicking game and shuffle the bench around a bit and there's nothing in it.

Go back and watch the game without blinkers on. Two piss poor short kicks were well outshadowed by a tremendous long kicking game, some superb defense and great organisation of his forwards. I get you don't like him, probably in a bandwagon sort of way but open your eyes. I can't stand Darius but I will admit when he does play well, which unfortunately is most of the time

Open your eyes?

"Tremendous" long kicking?

You are gripping it way too tightly. What "tremendous" long kick did he put in? Not one found open ground.

You are kidding yourself. He was dogshit.

Jesus christ you can't be serious? All his 'long' kicks where taken EASILY. Every single one of them. He duffed a short kick and went no where. You need to take the blinkers off, he was shit and got thrown around like a rag doll. He passed the ball to his outside backs with no pressure all game.

Wally and Fat now calling for Slater and Hess. Why the f**k weren't they playing tonight?

QLD panic setting in already or will some of the fossils do the honourable thing and 'elect' to step aside now????

Love the Pearce hate. Makes 20 tackles, missed three, scores a try, inside ball to Fifita help set up the first try and generally played well.

Of course on here though he was terrible and should be replaced in game 2 despite helping destroy QLD. Game 2 should be the exact same team as this game.

One of the greatest Origin performances I've seen, probably the Blues best since the Game III decider.

The first half was as energetic and as exciting as Origin has been for a long time. The Blues opting to go through the ruck was a stroke of genius while the Maroons had plenty of opportunities through the right fringe.

In the second half, NSW just had Queensland mentally beaten and went home with it. Wasn't good from a Maroons fans perspective obviously, but at the end of the day you've got to respect what was shown out there.

Got to say, when the Blues won that dead rubber last year, there was a sense that it was like Game 3 '84 and the Blues went onto dominate the next two series. We could be something similar here, especially as Queensland turns to a new generation.
