Glaringly obvious theres to much money on the line these days for thier not to be a decider, 5-10 million bucks in ads/ratings.

Especially when you have the bean counters of the actual owners of channel nine stipulating that they might dump the cricket, what you have here is something that not only you are aware of.

I'm a bit startled that you blues fans are giving it to the refs moreso for the strip penalties rather than the Holmes try. That right there is the match. Was there an angle that showed he didn't touch the line?

I had $5 on Josh Jackson mom and seriously can't believe he got it.

I thought he was a sneaky chance 15 mins into the game but after that barely noticed him.

Not sure who got the final say but Sterlo/Gould/Joey all love him which is why I lobbed on him in the first place

Duporth would have done better in the halves than Pearce brah

God damn Gallen taking every second hit up and stifling the attack in 20m zone! Such a selfish player..........
If only there was some other player that we could blame, maybe the most capped half in NSW history - the guy that's never won a series, and his main attacking weapon is the kick that lands in the opposition wingers hands uncontested or the fullback in the ingoal for a 7 tackle set. Did he get a repeat set tonite?
Wade Graham had his worst origin game to date yet put in 2 kicks that were better than anything Myth has ever done.

Well that was a great one game dynasty by NSW LOL. As a Queenslander this thread is a great read. It wasn't the refs, NSW just got outplayed. QLD stopped the NSW forwards getting easy metres up the middle so NSW tried going around the QLD defence and weren't good enough.

NSW are full of divas, there's a lot of high profile personalities in that team and none of them set up to try and win that game in the dying seconds together.
Under pressure the egos started coming through.

NSW whine constantly about 'Queensland spirit' but they got on with it and tried to win.
Although Smith is worrying me a bit.

NSW lost their way in the second half. Poor discipline didn't help but they can win game 3. Still feel they are the better team, just have to play smarter.

Thankyou. This x100.

I'm frustrated as hell right now- tonight was our night and we threw it away (not getting a penalty after the 35th minute didn't help, but that's another story).

What more do Qld have left in the tank? If NSW had played positively instead of trying to wind the clock down, they'd have won by more than a try at games' end. Qld need to improve far more than what NSW do from here to win The Decider (TM, NRL- tickets available at grossly inflated prices).

The penalty against Maloney leading to Holmes' 'try', compared to Boyd just tackling Hayne on the kick chase has me astounded. The other blocker play a couple of sets later was just as bad.
I know NSW absolutely shit the bed and should have closed the game out, but the inconsistency in these two rulings have me stunned.
Either of those get called and NSW close the game out.
NSW cottoned on and took Slater out later on, but the momentum had well and truly shifted by then.
Smith and G Cooper revelled in the ruck with the whistle put away as well. So many second efforts once a NSW player was down and trying to get back up.

It sounds like sour grapes and it probably is, but Qld adapted much better to the 'put the whistle away' approach and NSW got played as suckers by Qld and the men with the whistle.
What was great hit on Gagai by Fafita and Graham was penalise for a strip when reply showed he had lost it...big turning point of the game.

Josh Jackson had a splendid match.Very worthy winner.

BTW,Daley in the post match conference, looks unusually comfortable for someone who lost the un-loseable.Like as if he expected it.

just nervous

he knows he actually has very little influence over what happens out on the field

but they need to win to keep him in the job
