This could be a blood bath. Melbourne to thump the Eels and the Sharks to finish them off next week.

Arthur knows the Storm and their systems well. He'll have the boys up for it and armed with a strategy that COULD beat the Storm.

Unfortunately I just think their experience and the home ground advantage will tell in the end. I think we'll try and start fast like we did against Brisbane you can unsettle the Storm that way, and we might even have the lead at some stage, but they'll drag us into the grind in the end. Storm by 18

Wouldn't it be better for parra if it was a grind? Melbourne execute better than anyone and have great scrambling defence. I would say a fast open game would favour them

We tend to struggle in the grind, because imo we have a lot of players that like the flashy stuff, and don't really like a grinding game.

I think we can beat Melbourne, I honestly do - but I'm not expecting a win, and I definitely think it will be a tough game.

But given our playing style of using our edges a lot, it tends to neutralise the Storm's ruck defence, so...who knows?

I'm just happy to be one of the last 8 teams standing, tbh.

Melbourne are the kings of a slugfest. They love a slow game because they are so good at controlling one and because they rely so heavily on their systems to gain the upper hand.

It's not easy to beat them in any game quite obviously, but they are more vulnerable to an open game where they have to go away from their structure than they are in a game where they can just plug away at their processes and grind you into the dirt. Parra will want to avoid getting into a grind if at all possible because Melbourne are just far better at it.

Storm will get the right calls at the right times, if teams want to beat them they need to overcome this

I think this will be the grandfinal. The way the brackets work is that possible?

Yes it is possible. The loser of this match would play the winner of the Sharks v Cowboys match in Week 2. If they won, in Week 3 they would play the winner of the Roosters v Brisbane game for the right to play in the GF.

The winner of the match gets a week off and will be on the other side of the draw.

It's very hard to find any space on the Storm bandwagon.
Wait until you see the Eels bandwagon if they upset the Storm this weekend - now that bandwagon will have people crammed on like sardines and hanging out the windows.... we'll be partying like it's 2009 (GF result notwithstanding)

What's the over/under on the Storm for milking blocking penalties?

Slater is good for one on his own easily.

I'd mark it as 2.5.
