Manly self destructed a bit here at the end, but against a very good team, giving up their home advantage, they have been quite solid. They are still a good shot at the finals and being a nuisance, and probably a year or two from being the sort of danger to the premiership that the Broncos currently are.

I still think they could penalise IF the player ends up in a dangerous position, regardless of if they are attacker, defender, catching a bouncing ball, or even a pass. Onus should always be on defenders to not put opponent's in a dangerous position.

But in terms of "automatic" penalties for tackled in the air, I'm OK if it is kick defenders only who get the benefit.

Yeah automatic penalties is not the way to go, and you can't get out a ruler and say "over this height is a penalty".....

We all say things like "1 m" or "5 m" forward about a pass, but really, this is a guess compared to where it would have been if launched flat. A ball could easily travel 5 metres forward and still be "backwards".

Maybe we should say the Manly one was 15 degrees forward...
Mate, I'm just quoting the dotted yellow line on fox sports fwd pass camera.
Tommy throws it from point x, lands point y.
I don't give a f**k really.

What I've got out of this first half of the season after the clusterf**k that was last year is that Twent does have some coaching ability and I'm actually excited to see how the side develops under him. Got to stay in the games for 80 minutes however, which will hopefully come as the side beds in.

Yeah, I know.

Wasn't specifically about your comment, just you were the last to say "x m" forward. I do the same thing.

Just saying it is an odd way of talking about forward passes when plenty of people are confused that a ball can go forwards from a pass and not be a forward pass.
