Well over due but this is getting to Raider/Dragons hoodoo proportions. Of course it will be broken at some point and to be fair we have been a handy team for the majority of the last 5 years but if there was ever a chance to break it for Wests it was last year when they had all to play for during their run to get to the top 8 but they didn't even get close.

Wasn't it in pouring rain and origin effected when we played you last year?

I don't Know if it's a hoodoo so much. Generally the roosters have had good teams and we've been garbage. The raiders/dragons one was when the dragons were consecutive minor Premiers and the raiders were rubbish so it was a real abnormality

Yeah hurricane like conditions where half of Sydney streets were closed and the 20s was cancelled. If there was ever justification for cancelling a game due to inclement weather that was it.

It was during origin but not one of the weeks where origin players sat out but you are right, not as late in the season as I thought. Still, we were playing like crap the whole year and Wests should have won. I remember SST kicked 3 sideline conversions after about a 33% success rate in dry conditions.

Agreed is not as significant as Dragons/Raiders because by rights, dragons should have beaten the Raiders multiple times. Roosters, aside from 2016, have been a far better team than Wests since 2011.

We finished well below them in both 2012 (won 42-28 and 44-20) and 2015 (W 36-4 and 33-8).
Even in 2011, the last time they beat us and a rubbish year for us, we beat them 24-6 in our home game, and they finished top 4.

Forgive the arrogance, but it's a hoodoo alright. Even at our worst we've beaten them comprehensively.

Edit: Woops - 2015 we obviously didn't finish below them, meant 2016 when we finished 2nd last.

2015 we finished first... and they finished 15th

Surely you are referring to last year Adam and the capitulation makes it feel like years since we were any good. We only played them once last year.

What makes it ridiculous is the fact that we have scored 30+ points against them something like 9 times in a row.

Aha woops. Yep. Sorry Tigers fans.
Still I believe the point still stands - Similar result in 2016

Roosters to me are the most successful team of the modern era. 3 minor premierships in a row is much more of an achievement, although it goes unrecognisable - just think about it, 1st place over 26 rounds 3 years in a row...that's Fkin insane

It would be out of storm (if they didn't cheat the cap) manly and your mob with Roosters winning quite comfortably

daniel tupou ruled out

whilst most fans probably shrug their shoulders at this the guy usually scores 7 tries a game against us so it can only be a good thing

This, don't know what it is about the Tigers but Tupou always puts in against them.

Just got a feeling this score will be huge. 50+ or so to the roosters

I'm really not confident at all

Roosters paying even money for 13+ looks a solid bet.

One would imagine Jason Taylor rather enjoying a big win. Then chucking a brown eye at Marina

Well it's that time of year again for Sharon Woods to shit his pants at the sight of JWH :D

I hope the backroom staff have a few fresh pairs of undies prepared for Woodsy.
