God I knew it was a bad idea to listen to Bennett's presser. If there's one person that shouldn't be asked for an opinion on how the Knights are rebuilding it's him.

Asking Wayne about rebuilding any club is pointless.

I have a distinct dislike of the Broncos formulated over 25 years. Largely stems from their lack of grace win or lose.

However my opinion above is genuine and mine alone. I think the club with all its advantages is destined for mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

My favourite part was him criticising the club for "letting" Gagai go. The club didn't "let" him go, they offered him a contract upgrade but Souths was was still higher (+ the incentive to earn more with the Indigenous programs they get paid for down there/play with GI, ect.).

He doesn't seem to be able to grasp the concept that not every club has the TPAs to just throw ridiculous money around to retain their outside backs. No wonder he ended up f**king our cap up so badly. The 500k he put Aku on has become a lot clearer.

Enjoy mediocrity. Most clubs have spent time there us especially. Brisbane has not so it should be fun to watch. Bottom 8 this year with a downward trend.

Nobody blames Wayne exclusively. Since he has departed he has certainly written a fancy narrative for himself..

Tinks paid off the debts the club had before he arrived. He went broke personally and the third party deals he'd setup disappeared with him, something Wayne doesn't have to deal with in Brisbane.

Wayne's squad management was woeful and we are paying for that now.

Newcastle fans have to be the most bitter lot in the league, especially when it comes to coaches who didn't live up to the expectation, you got what you wanted in Wayne, you wanted a quick premiership, he got you to a prelim but even the great Wayne Bennett couldn't produce that elusive title for the Knights.

What did you expect? a 5 year coaching plan where he coaches a bunch of rookies who sit at the bottom of the table only to finally leave Newcastle with a star studded lineup as he trundles off into the sunset where Newcastle would then go on to be a force to be reckoned with the next half a decade? That's not how it works and even the most passionate of Newcastle fans would know that is not what they signed up for when they went for Wayne Bennett, he came and so did the talent that usually come with one of the all-time great coaches, he left, so did they.

Stop being a bunch of bitter merkins and move on, you have a side that competes much better than they should do given the roster you guys have, next year you'll be significantly better. Pedge, I find you to be an interesting one, you throw out barbs accusing others of having anger issues but as far back as I can remember seeing you as a regular poster on here you've done nothing but try to turn anything into your very own anti-Brisbane campaign. I think you're the one who needs help pal, it doesn't have to be that way, get some help before it's too late.
