How did he get his way in that.Ref was wrong. Any captain would have questioned him..cordner questioned the ref but has anyone complained about that?

Smith stays there for over a minute. Refusing to go away.

This after he knows they got a 100% wrong penalty try call in the game. bet you he was fine with that.

"No it wasnt a penalty try under any circumstances" - Brandy
Well Brandy is wrong. 100%.

The rule says "the Referee may award a penalty try if, in his opinion, a try would have been scored but for the unfair play of the defending team."
In his opinion. Not, as Alexander thinks, if there was no doubt.

Personally I think it was an incorrect decision - it should have been a penalty and 10 in the bin for a professional foul. But, by the letter of the law, if the ref believes he would have scored it is a penalty try.

Then he read out the rule. If in the opinion of the referee a try would have been scored....

Obviously, in the opinion of the referee, a try would have been scored.

A bit different when Cordner questions 5 or 6 calls in a row against his team and the ref has stopped time to talk to him.

Smith did it because he couldn't handle the fact his team got a call against his team.
Smith did it because it was a bad call. Hypocrite.

Suli was pulled down as he was going for the ball. 100% he would have scored that try if he wasn`t held back. brandy is an idiot.

He didn't have the ball in his hands. What's the say he wouldn't have knocked it on in getting the ball or grounding it.

The roosters player should have been binned for a professional foul and a penalty awarded to the Storm.

He won't answer. It's on the defender but doesn't suit his agenda.
Lol who is running the agenda here?

The onus is on the defender to not put the opposing player in a dangerous position whilst attempting a tackle. The defender is allowed to get himself into a position to catch the football.

If the attacking player then lands on him and ends up in a dangerous position it isn't really his fault.

Like I said, watch the replay again.

Yeah, Fergo just jumped onto his own head. the contact to his legs had nothing to do with it....
The attackimg player takes the risk by putting himself into that position. How should defenders defend these plays? Stand there and wait for him to come down?

Other teams get bad calls but their captains get told to go away after the ref explains the call. If they then go on with it the ref marches them 10 or it gets worse.

For "Cam" it doesn't.

They should defend these plays much the same as defenders look at Inglis and Reynolds self-somersualting efforts.

Although I note, with some amusement, they both seem to have given them up after the McKinnon incident.
