A gun player and awesome bloke.
How about Blocker calling it high? And I thought he loved a good hit.

We absolutely had the calls go our way in that game.

But we had them go against us every game in 2013 and still won the comp so Penrith will learn from this.

I've no doubt you'll be there or thereabouts when it matters.

Nah in all seriousness we got super lucky and some key decisions went our way. Methinks these teams will meet again deep in the finals.

Keep posting that, it might change the result. Worth a try.
Sorry I didnt realuse fans werent allowed to be pissed off at blatant wrong calls literally being the reason they lost.

Hodkindon was sent for 10 because of a decision he claimed lost them the game. His team was behind and ut had no bearing on the scoreboard. This call did.

The reason roosters won was a touchy not calling a clear forward pass. The same touchie who couldnt see a Roosyers player with both feet on the line when he caught the ball.

Panthers lost because they didnt do their job properly. I think Roosters were the better team. But they didn't win fairly.
Roosters won because they were the better side, scored 3 try's to 1, ref was keeping panthers in it with all the penalties given in kicking range

Im certain they won't. If ypu cant get a call at your home ground afainst the Roosters you aren't getting calls at all

The thing that has consistently annoyed me about the NRL is that the players and teams have got more and more professional over the years, but the refereeing just hasn't kept up. If anything, the referees have less confidence (particularly the touch judges) to make calls on the field.

I am not a rabid, blind supporter - I can cop a fair loss. However, when refereeing mistakes clearly cost your team a close game, it is hard to feel anything other than bitter about it.

Did they score off a forward pass at the end? If yes... then you are wrong. If no... uou are blind. Dickhead.
Floated forward to me, and as mentioned above that posted before I finished, roosters 3 try's to 1, refs kept panthers in with penalties close to kicking range

LOL come on mate, we got shafted from pillar to post with match deciding calls all throughout last year. I know exactly how you feel but the difference is, you won't end the year at 15th. About bloody time we got a bullshit call to get a win tbh. Manly + offside + Aubusson is fresh in my memory.

We got a lucky call on toops being in touch. Then promptly dropped the ball on the next tackle

The pass was fine

Not sure what other bad calls went our way, unless you want to pull a Roach and complain about rules being applied correctly?

The Roosters definitely received some fortuitous calls but Penrith just didn't take their opportunities.

The Roosters are on the rise and this loss will fuel finals fever come September

Roosters best performance of the season easy. Ours too. This game doesn't mean much in the scheme of things. Both sides will he up there, greater battles lie ahead. We didn't really get the calls this time.

I don't think the result necessarily means a whole lot in the scheme of things but the game definitely does. Early season games are all about attitude and ability, both sides showed they have it in abundance.

Both clearly with a lot to work on though and like you said when we clash again will be a different proposition.

I thought Penrith's attack in good ball was quite disappointing, the Roosters did a really good job on Moylan tonight and that really seemed to shut down their attacking options. The scoreline was close but at the end of the day Penrith only managed the one try.

On the other side of things the Roosters became really predictable with our left edge raids, really need to work on finding some balance in attack or we risk becoming a on trick pony with the ball.

I agree that the pass wasn't as bad as it is being made out for but it was one of many 50/50 calls that went against us in the end.

It was forward all along. The correct decision would have been no try... and then it's not 3 tries to 1.

Simple mathematics. Roosters won byv2 on the back of a try that shpuld have been called forward.

I understand Queenslanders don't quiet grasp how mathematics work. Afterall if we had a Queenslander in the side he would have gone for the field goal to win while down by 2

I can't stand Michael Gordon now. Just the same as any other Roosters player.

and as for us way off where we need to be, I don't know how people think we'll be up there. Only scored 1 try in first home game of the season.
