I haven't seen anything apart from here. Under contract with the dogs for 2017.

I guess my only comment for this time of the year is every other f#%ken club is signing players and we are not. I don't see that much improvement (if any) for next year so I can only assume it will be a similar season to last....

I believe the club has to be fiscally resposible ATM, considering they will be paying a huge portion of R. Farah's contract and concievably Sironen's, there just Isn't the $$$ available to a club that to a certain extent has to be restrained from spending by the NRL, Idris was a huge signing & let's hope the Juniors rise to the occaison.

They would bloody want too. From what I can tell we've brought in 2 players to our whole NRL and ISP squad (mciilwrick and idris) and promoted a pretty massive 11 players from this years NYC team.

It's quite likely that it will b another disappointing season in '17.

Our perpetually shit defence is a major concern as is our lack of depth.Our roster isn't that good.We have to many players in the squad who continue to b incapable to switch on & perform with intensity for anywhere near 80 mins during a game.

Our no.1 is injury prone, the no.7 is shithouse & we r placing much faith on the critical no. 9 to b shared by a busted & a rookie.We also lack a noted goal kicker.

Also Souths, the chooks & parra who all finished below us this season r genuine top 8 contenders next yr which will make our task all the more difficult.

The problem with a side that isn't improving much, that if you don't bring in some improvements, then the rest of the competition will pass you by.

This has to be the make or break season for our halves. At the end of the year, if its been poor again, offer them both reduced contracts (250k to 300k each to be reasonable). If they don't like they can try their luck on the market. Only Storm would be interested and it seems these boys don't want to be apart or outside Sydney.

No other club will pay their current asking price. And if someone does, we'll we've just freed up a shit tonne of coin to buy a proper halfback. Ben Hunt will be on the market I believe in 2017.

Im with Tiger Ted on the goal kicker. We really need a 75%pluser.

If we are going to continue to leak points in defence and their is no reason to believe we wont, we need to maximise the points we score. 4 needs to be 6 more often then not.

I watched "Money Ball" again on Friday - his main goal was players that "got on base."Sport is simple we need to score more points than the opposition. Look at El Masri and Ross Conlon - both wouldnt really have made the teams other than their goal kicking.

I understand the point you make Shredder but in the end I thought El Masri was a very good, solid winger. He was strong in defence and for a not so fast winger his positional play was excellent. Sure his goal kicking was outstanding but he was better than many other wingers running around. As I say though, I get the point you make....I'd love to have someone like Croker in our team. Solid and reliable.

At this stage Id even bring Joel Caine out of retirement to kick for us. He was solid as well.

Maybe. I think we wait and see. I've seen him get caught out in the centres because of a lack of speed but it might work. He could also slot into a backrow spot and hopefully we then have a damaging right edge backrower.

I think he could work out well for us.

Well he is going to be playing center so get used to it.

I know you can take off season talk with a grain of salt but they're saying he is actually 10kgs lighter then when he finished up playing at the panthers in 2014.

Any idea where Chee Kam might play? I know he's a specialist second rower so I'm assuming off the bench or something but wouldn't mind seeing him chucked in the centre to tighten up our edge defense even if it means losing a little attacking prowess

Sounds about right TBH. Hopefully he can atleast cement a bench spot looks pretty solid

Put it this way, I reckon both Idris and MCK are better and faster centres than Lovett and he got a run there a few time this year.

I am actually for Idris and MCK playing centre. They may be a little slower than some centres but their defence is much better than we have had. Jack Reed from the Broncos (and a few others) were never that fast but their positional play and defence meant they really added to their teams performance.

Simona and Nofo finishing is good enough for me.

Simona is talented enough to play centre but geez I miss him playing wing. Get him into open space and you won't catch him.

I think a lot of this depends on whether Naiqama is staying at Tigers. I agree that Naiqama's defence was pretty suspect at times but when he had the ball in his hands he was a nightmare for opposition. Look at a highlights of tigers best tries in the last two years and you will see Naiqama pop up many times.
That being said, wouldn't mind seeing Naiqama on the wing
