Why bag Starling?

A million people in here wanted to bag Prior too as I recall. Most people in fact.

How'd he go?

Pissflap has shown the influence of Bellyache this year. Probably turn Starling into a Monty Porter medal winner as well.

Then sack him. Again

would love to have Cook. Pity Souths are playing hardball here. He could be a leading hooker if given the right chance at the right club.

Will Flanno return to two hookers or will he find a 80 minute player? Interesting times ahead and I am looking forward to see how the team progresses.

I was not 1 to criticise Prior....as I didn't really know of him too much...don't make a habit of watches Dragons games.

He has been utterly awesome & I'm so glad he's shared the medal with Fifita.

I'm getting more and more Confused around cherrington now.
Might be similar to the three-way battle for fullback between Val,Benny and Birdy this year. Gives all three (Brailey, Nu and Cherrington) plenty of motivation knowing there's a spot awaiting one or two of them in a premiership defending side for 2017. With the versatility of Capewell we should be able to share the hooking role next year. perfect time to blood a young-un with the experience across the paddock and Ennis as mentor.

I get that but why chase cook?

By all reports we'd have cook now if it wasn't for Souths. The point I'm making is we would have 4 hookers.

3 Hookers and Nu Brown.
I am expecting Brown will play lock though.
The transition is there with Gal and Lewy leaving for the void to be filled and I think Capewell and Brown will be the way moving forward.
Or at least a bench role for Brown and Bukuya starts.

Cook is an interesting one. I don't want him.
We missed the bill not chasing Farah harder.
Brailey will be what everyone thought Lichaa would be. A good footballer.
Probably not ready for next year.

Great enthusiasm and passion by the kid, but push comes to shove, he is probably a year away.
Cherrington is awful, and a waste of a signing. Should have kept McIlwrick.

Start Brown at the 9 and see how he goes.
I'd like to keep Brailey out until he is ready for an entire season to give him a red hot crack at rookie of the year.
A meaningless award but still, will do wonders for his confidence.

Starling and Trex will go well. We have that knack of turning ordinary forwards to world beaters (prior, feefs) and then back again - look at poor ol Snowden and Douglas

Holden Cup stats should generally be taken with a grain of salt, but it is pretty outstanding for a player to be elite in both tackles and try assists as Jayden Brailey was. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't become a good NRL player, it's just a matter of when.

Starling is mud. Prior had shown bits here and there but handling let him down.

Brailey I don't think is ready yet(I don't think any 20-21 year old 9's are) but I would love to see us work him into a rotation with Nu.

I'd have Taga any day over the log Rex.

Wrecks does some good stuff during a game but most times his M.I.A. Taga likes to smash carnnnts.

Wrecks likes to jersey grab fresh air.

Taga for $350k or T Rex for $250k? We are going To need every cent when it comes to locking up players next year.

Me either. Cook is a bum. The interest in signing him in here is a grab at straws to sign anyone IMO

Yes, clearly a straight swap for Newtown IMO. Cherrington was 4th behind Farah. Halatau, Ballin were in front of him even with Ballin damaged.

I think the Sharks should be monitoring the Bulldogs situation closely. I actually think Lichaa would be a good fit in the Sharks team and I don't care about his father or why he left yada yada. Look at how Ennis blossomed out of the Hasler system where the hooker only provided dummy half service and covered in defence for his obsessive need to have big immobile lumps in the side. The Lichaa at the Bulldogs is not a development result from the Lichaa we had earlier. Totally different, foreign playing style. With Dessie's job seemingly on the line, Talkin' Sport said his offer has been withdrawn anything can happen at the 'Dogs. The obvious risk is the loss of Brailey but who's to say he is going to end up better? Apart from Brailey's Dally M Liccha's path was the same.

I think Liccha's biggest problem was getting Desified

Ennis would say as much. Des gives his hookers no freedom at all. Tackle and shovel the ball is the gameplan. Lichaa showed he was a good runner in 20's. There might be a decent hooker in there somewhere away from Des.

Also Lewis is yet to sign on.
