This is who I'd like to see line up next year (or, at least, by the end of the year):

1. Barba
2. Feki
3. Bird
4. Leutele
5. Holmes
6. Maloney
7. Townsend
8. Fifita
9. Brailey
10. Prior
11. Lewis
12. Graham
13. Gallen

14. Tagataese
15. Heighington
16. Bukuya
17. Capewell

Yes, I know it's a no-brainer after the GF, but I really want to see Brailey and Capewell given a chance.

We then need to let Heighno go, and make sure we have back-up for the loss of Gal, and probably Lewis.

We do NOT need a back on the bench, as Lewis, Bukuya, Capewell & Graham can cover, in an emergency.

Taga and Heino haven't signed yet.

Brailey is not ready physically.

Talk was that Tony Williams is pretty much signed up so I'm sure he would feature somewhere in the line up.

At this stage Nu Brown would be the likely hooker without anymore signings in that area. Although word on the forum is that Flanno sees him long term as a back rower/ utility.

However, in Pissflap's interview with The Parrot he said he hoped to have Heigho and Taga signed "soon" Within 48 hours I suppose LOL

I could see value in using Heigho as a hooker to be honest. I'm not sure of his passing off the ground and he'd have no kicking game but sheet he would shore up the guts and probably make fair metres from DH with his leg speed.

He's got to stay around the club for mine though. Make it happen Pissflap

Be nice to go around again with only the one change. (Ennius)

Although I think for future planning capewell needs to see more minutes and bakuya should start in a few more games.

As for brailey if he ain't physically ready then we don't want a good up and comer getting bashed and losing confidence in his defence. If he is going to be a 9 for his career then defence is bumber 1. Confidence in contact helps with taking the ball to the line.

I'd reward Heighno with one more years contract.
After next year its a real rebuild time, plus we may have to face the facts that this team could be ripped apart, and is not going to look anything like it did this year.
Give them another year together.

Doesn't matter. In 30 minute stints he can help bring the Cherringtons, Braileys, Browns et al on.

There's no sign of anybody even close to an being an established first grade hooker coming.

With Pissflap keen to keep Heigho and Taga, rep upgrades for BBQ and Holmes to be paid, possible upgrades to me made all in order to keep the team together most of the Ennis money will get eaten up before a decent hooker becomes available.

However, I'll have to admit Pissflap will probably invent something or re invent someone.

$5 million worth off contract at end of 2017. See above re lack of cap room.

What was The Menace on?

Lewis is supposed to be on a reduced contract next year.

The rebuild in 18 will need to be handled carefully. Big decisions for Flanagan

lmao maloney is on a lot more than 450k.

Heighno must stay but at 9 is a horrible call. The bloke can barely pass 3m. T-Rex isn't really needed. I'd hate to waste Capewell in NSW another year. If Taga goes we need to find a prop.

Flanno has shown a real preference for hard head veterans. I'd say he goes on a major recruiting drive next year, even if means getting some journeyman types.

I for one am looking forward to see how the team goes without Ennis. I kind of think they might go through a few options before settling on someone.
We are not going to get another Ennis but someone solid and reliable would be nice to defend our title.
Remember life before Ennis signed? Ugh.
