I accidentally broke Stallion in another thread and now he's discovered my secret identity, I'm actually Karmichael Hunt and I'm on a mission to lure this entire forum to the QRU.

You haven't broke anyone. You are already broke in mind and soul. A union troll on a rugby league website. That's enough said!

Please dont feed the troll

Like I've been told b4 . PR has a destructive and ignorant nature Like most of your thoughts on rugby league. It is now reflected in you siding with a union troll and ridIculing myself .That's no issue for me.(it is a little- timewasting) Glad I've hammered your destructive and ignorant comments. It's part of the battle I spose. You do waste real rugby league fans time but it's got to be done.

That's dire. Seriously I don't care about form local derbies big rivalries should always draw a much better crowd than that. What an embarrasment to the game.

The simple fact is we do a poor job building up rivalries. Just look at how the A league or AFL have built up their local derbies. They should be a draw card regardless of form.

Hilarious that we have posters on here bagging out the Gold Coast AFL team getting 33K in Perth when we're getting 10K to a local Sydney derby.

& we’re on a hiding to nothing this week

Souths v Rorters on a Thursday night

Lord have mercy lol

On a positive note a sold out Win Stadium against the Sharkies should look good

10K at ANZ

1.5 Million people in western Sydney , more people then all of South Australia
ANZ literally 15 minutes on the M4 from Parramatta
42,000 members between the 2 clubs

& I'm shouted down when I say Sydneysiders are passionless fickle bandwagon riders
its embarrassing
beyond it infact
Meh, crap crowd but that's on parra. They do seem to have a large number of fans that come out when they're winning but it's unfair to paint the entire city of lacking passion.
All clubs are going to see a bump in attendance when they're winning but I'm certainly not in a position to bag out other teams in the Como because my team struggles at the gate when they're not playing so well and so does yours.
I do wonder why this match is being played a month after their first meeting though, seems strange. Penrith had a good crowd in round one, so it's not like the game is dying.
One, admittedly big club just didn't get its fans out to its game today. No need for wrist slitting

Not a great crowd in WA terms, but when you consider it would lucky to have got 5 figures if on the Gold Coast, then in crowd terms there is some uplift.

Whilst good to take games to regional areas pre season, it isn’t going to help crowd counts in the season proper. Surely a ‘home’ game at Townsville or Brisbane would be both commercially and crowd positive?
I like what the Titans are doing in taking games to rural communities, mayhaps Gladstones stadium was too small but I think it might have been a bad crowd in Townsville, might have been a cost issue with using Suncorp as well.

that's the reason why ANZ doesn't get good crowds

its not an excuse for a sunny sunday arvo western derby barely cracking 10K there

It is such a shit ground to watch football at, unless you know it will be absolutely packed to the rafters, such as in SOO or a final. Even then it is only just passable.

Penrith fans also don't travel, apart from a small group. Particularly to ANZ.

It was really Parra fans who should have been turning up today, but even then they must already be getting tired of their team losing.

I think the titans should have played one of these games at sunny Coast. Bigger ground and less travel from the city. While today’s crowd was disappointing, anz is just a shit ground lacking atmosphere. I go to a few casual nrl matches which don’t feature the warriors but anz is the only ground in Sydney I won’t go. (Unless it’s expecting a large crowd) I’m sure many others particularly parra fans share my sentiment. It’s a catch 22 there will be no atmosphere if I go and because i (and many others) don’t go there is no atmosphere.

It is just too big for club games. Even IF they do move it closer it will still have this issue

Sydneysiders have to understand that they do actually have to make .. some .. effort to follow their team right ?

it was 12-6
I can't help but think If another 10K Parramatta fans had taken the time to get off their lazy fickle asses & stirred their team up
they may have actually got them up
Players sense the energy a crowd generates , even in a chasm like ANZ
they can lift a team

I went to the game.
I had to take 3 trains and a bus to get there. Same on the way back.
I'm not even that far away from Homebush, ffs! I live in Balmain!
I could have driven, but that's an extra $20-$25 I have to pay for parking. That shit adds up over a whole year of attending games.

I can understand why people are turned off going to games when they have to put up with shit like that. By the time I got home I was more pissed off that there were no trains straight from Olympic Park to the city (had to change at Lidcombe, then that train terminated at Central and had to change again to get to Town Hall) than I was about my team losing their 5th straight game.

If your team is doing well, yeah people will make some effort to come and see them...but who want to put p with that shit when all you get to see when you get there is your team losing once again.
