2018 Crowd Watch

If the NRL had any sense that is what they'd do, if its going accept a shtty sub 10k crowd in a regional area stick it on a Thursday night so the impact is minimalised and can be made up by the game that would otherwise have been on the Thursday night. I'd imagine the Ch9 prima donnas would complain but f**k em.

This week the regional Panthers crowd would still be about same but tonight's game would likely have drawn better in the slot the Panthers game has got. #thisishowweleague

ps why not keep trials for the regional games? The kids still get to see their idols and the crowd avg doesn't get screwed over. In fact during trial time the clubs can hang around more and get more involved in activities during the week.
I don't buy the "panthers get sht crowds in penrith so why not take it on road" argument, that's just admitting total defeat!

Let them watch a team full of blokes they’ve never heard of play?

Yeah that’s nice.

It's over 20000 but still very poor! I take it the Broncos are charging full fare for Thursday night games !

Spot on

Imagine the crowds a team with Josh Drinkwater and Brodie Jones would have brought to Tamworth compared to Benji Marshall and Mitchell Pearce. Tamworth locals would have been camping out for days.

Perth red is clueless.

How about the game give back to the country a bit.
Let’s face it some of the greatest players to have ever played the game are from regional areas.
Sterling
Daley
Johns
Mortimers
Cronin
Gavin miller
Black lock
Preston Campbell
Luke covell
Inglis

Thanks. I've noticed there are decent numbers in those spots. At least that's something! More of that sort of marketing and the crowds will improve.

Just had a look, they have made the same 2000 available for all the thursday games.

That's better. It's a shame it's not a bigger number than that. Might be an idea for all clubs hosting Thursday night games a $20 Thursday night offer. It would help the crowd figures and reduce the tv embarrassment this competition suffers as a result.

So you are wanting to do what you accuse everyone else of - abandoning North Sydney. In your own words, only top flight local representation in North Sydney is enough. You seem to now be saying that, that is not the case and throwing them the crumbs on two games a year is enough.

lol

Umm, I have never contributed to this topic till that post so I don’t what the f*ck you are talking about, your argument is with Stallion about that point.
