2018 Crowd Watch

Like I said, AFL is making leaps and bounds in crowd numbers and memberships. Thus they are financially flush with millions and millions with interest in heartland team and non-heartland teams flurishing.

The Rugby Union sect have seen the light and denounced their old game and even the Rugby Union schools now play more AFL than Rugby Union.

I wouldn't call Lions and Suns flourishing in non heartland areas.

And as far as GWS is concerned, the AFL are throwing money around like confetti. They depend on at least 5,000 ACT members, and the add ons of a netball team.
Yet their TV ratings are sh*ttier than a portaloo.

The Swans have an all seater stadium, rarely play on a Thursday night at home, never at 6pm Friday.Their TV ratings have made little headway over 36 years.
And you should be aware the Storm have reached 25,000 members, greater than the swans(ably assisted by sth Melbourne) in the same space of time.

The NRL expects a $40m plus profit this year.
.
SOO now being played or will be played, in AFL heartland cities to big crowds.
AFL did not last in Wellington NZ,a failure.

A new headquarters for the VRL provided by the Vic Govt, ditto for the SARL.

Hush money OK for harassment issues at clubs,OKayed by the CEO.
Brawls at AFL games at least on a few occasions in Adelaide and Melbourne.

It's not a one way all great street ,Light my Fire.

Victorians will watch anything. This is emphasised by the fact their favourite sport is a bunch of skinny uncos failing to kick and catch a football properly.

The Wellington people would for sure get behind another NRL team . They have a loyal Soccer crowd (and 7's) down there, but that's only because it's a local team and interest in the game.... so no shot for AFL. A ridiculous proposition to expand the game down there.

If there was to be an expansion, Wellington would make the most sense, and yellow and black would also work in the comp. Christchurch the second best option.

Nope. It's in a good location bottom of the city next to train station, so couldn't imagine Wellington building or choosing another option. Though for sure it would've been great if Athletic Park was still around. It would nicely rival Mt Smart and be a crowd fave. Wellington's version of Carlaw Park, though a bit bigger...

Yeah location and all is good, I just don't think it would be the best place for viewing. (never been to it though.)

I think cricket is looking at playing elsewhere in Wellington anyway. I wonder how much it would cost to "rectangularise" it. An NRL team to join the Super Rugby & A-League teams could be a big part of any potential proposal.

Christchurch has priority atm and I think that's on the backburner.

Carlton are not giving any away, they are giving free upgrades to their 2018 members for next year as a reward for supporting a team who were worse than shit. Fair play to them I reckon.

The rest of your post is gibberish as usual
Don't like te truth do you .

You say gibberish .
What I posted ( other than Carlton ..where I was wrong ) is fact .
Are you a closet afl fan ?
