I know what a footbridge is...
Is there any in Sydney we can use as an excuse for shit crowds though?

Tibby cotter bridge, connecting people from allianz stadium to a city of 6million, with a great restaurant scene, best harbour in the world, brothels and tug joints.

Penrith is sold out of reserved seats.. The club is expecting 19k.

Leichhardt sell out

Into Shark Park... Will look great on TV.

Much better than the BS last week of an 80% empty ANZ

Or the almost totally empty Brookvale. There is a bit of a myth around suburban crowds anyway. Let's not pretend that they're always full or even nearly full. This week is the exception not the rule.

I'm looking forward to tonight's games (the crowds a big part of that) but let's not delude ourselves here.

Will look good on tv, but playing at small grounds every week won’t increase our crowd average!

looks good on tv when they are sold out.
But when its not, a empty stadium like anz still looks better for the code than a half empty patch of grass..
Suburban grounds are basically a double edged sword

Is there any times in Sydney where a NRL game has to compete directly with 80k people from another sport that is more popular in that state, less than a 5 minute walk away?

Anyway if thats the worst crowd we get all season its not even bad, the only Sydney ground with a higher average attendance is Kogarah, and that average is helped by the fact there's only been 4 games

Wait on

Mega TV deal and you're shocked at a small drop in crowd averages?

It coincides with the timeline of every match going completely live and most recently all simulcast on Fox. It's not f**king rocket science.

10% isn’t small, and no I’m shocked that the nrl set crowds as a priority then failed miserably to achieve anything. What did it do in that 5 years to try and reach its goal of 20k?

I dunno..personally
E.g I see afull house at Leichhardt and I want to be there amongst it
An empty stadium on the other hand has the exact opposite effect on me.
Looks like a funeral.
No thanks
