NRL season crowd total largest in four years :heavy_check_mark: Biggest single season rise (2.3%) since 2009 :heavy_check_mark:

Could be the beginning of boom times a head for the game

The vicmongian trolls are easy to spot. Theyre the ones who knew there was a fumbleball game on last night.

Meanwhile the NRL should get some decent crowds this week and more importantly, they'll see sport of the highest class

Welcome to the last four pages of discussion lol.

And why is it the railways' fault there's trackwork on? They can't just cancel shit planned months or years ahead of time because of the 1 in 16 chance Penrith are hosting a home final ffs

More panther fans will attend this time slot, over 8pm Friday at ANZ. And seriously, this is the Warriors first finals match in Years. If you’re a Warriors fan living in Sydney, and would rather watch the All Blacks vs Argentina on tv over a finals match. Your probably not going to attend a finals Match regardless of the time slot.

Ill have to dig up the link, but in the NZherald earlier this week a survey of approx 500000 had a higher percentage of viewers preferring to watch the Warriors over the All blacks.

If only Parramatta had a decent year. Our crowds are usually pretty decent despite poor results on field.

Why didn't they put the chooks on Friday night and the storm on Saturday night?

Avoid both clashes.

5 day turn around for the Sharks
Should've swapped Penrith and Storm games

Surely the AFL game on before the Roosters game is a benefit? won't they get a fair few walk ups? I'd imagine a lot of Swans fans are chooks fans?

I also think a large percentage of Storm fans are Demons fans, hopefully it's still a good 20,000+ crowd tonight though

I'm expecting a good turnout of SCG members for that reason for Saturday night;s game.

The all blacks are only playing Argentina who aren’t the biggest draw comepared to Australia and South Africa. I honestly think most warriors fans in Sydney including myself are keen to go to this game. Pax was at 12.5 when I got tickets on Wednesday so I would think hopefully 20k at least.

Ignoring the fact this was addressed repeatedly this week, simple maths would tell you that Cronulla played Sunday and therefore won't be shafted with a 5-day turnaround as a top four side.

I recall going to a finals match at the SFS which was Warriors v Canberra. It was a while ago, as Wiki was still playing for Canberra and Stacey kicked the field goal to win it, but there was 33,000 there and if I said 500 were cheering for Canberra, it would have been an exaggeration. The kiwis are there, they just need to be motivated. But the boring ABs are always a bigger draw, even if they were playing Romania.
