I don't care who is locked out.

It is our home prelim and our choice of the suitable venues.

I would be saying the exact same thing if the sharks won and earned the home week 3 game.

Yes but the NRL should care that fans get locked out

Also the ones in this thread who appear to be advocating seem to all be Panthers fans, which makes me wonder if this is just a continuation of the whinge (by some) about them not being able to play finals games at Penrith Stadium.
Probably is. Is it OK with you if we hold an opinion or is that not allowed.

I don't see what the Preliminary Final venue not involving your club has to do with your club's supporters. You have not been talking generalities, you have been talking specifics, and on this case specifically out of your backside. The Roosters were Minor Premiers, its home ground is one that is approved by the NRL as meeting its criteria for finals venues, hence why should it be moved because of Panthers fans upset because they could not get a home final in Week 1?

If you want to debate the general principles, go for it. However you predominantly haven't and are bringing up moving this Preliminary Final as it somehow validates your beef about Week 1 of this year.

Nothing to worry about this year, its much too late, but going forward a somewhat more flexible arrangement might prove amenable to all stakeholders.
Arent you the one that said Penrith fans boycott the bigger venues as they arent home grounds?

Now who is being hypcritical

So far the only argument I've heard in favour of moving the game to ANZ is "that <insert figure> fans will get locked out".

I've seen that figure climb as high as 25-30k in some estimates which is completely baseless.

At best 5-10k will be "locked out" and if the result is a full Allianz over a 2/3 full ANZ I think the look is better for RL. The NRL can't win either way here but at least visually on Saturday week it'll look great on TV.
