Wow that Melbourne jersey looks even worse compared to a jersey where a red poppy vee actually makes sense

Yes. Inappropriate and confusing but that's what these "creative marketing geniuses" are getting away with these days and for a while I suggest.

Looks even worse in person it’s just way too busy. Take away the photo and a few of the poppies and it would look a lot better.

Manly's fourth jersey - their Maori jersey they'll wear when they take a home game to Christchurch in June.

At least it's in Manly colours. That's one saving grace. Way too many different jumpers for one season. No wonder people get confused!

The lack of presence of a top flight club is the big loss for the code in the North Sydney area. A reincarnation of the Bears in the form of the Central Coast Bears would revitalize rugby league in Northern Sydney and give the Central Coast a presence. A triple win/win/win with the local derbies for other clubs would be achieved. I suggest that this very doable reclamation and consolidation of the relevant areas is very prudent for the code going forward. Additional expansion clubs are welcomed into the future in this strategy as well.

Plus it means my mates kids would be in line for a team which isn't Souths through their affiliation with the Ku-ring Gai Cubs.

His oldest son's ambition is to play for the Bears. He doesn't want to play for Souths lol.

Who gets confused?

Apparently some people in here.

Really don't get this thread. Yes it's here for discussion and debate over designs and all...but if half the people in this thread had their way most teams would have the same design for their home jersey every year and only have an away if needed which would also have the same design every year. Sounds like the AFL to me. And while i am all for tradition and heritage i can tell you now that while both codes sell heaps of merch...AFL teams keeping the same design year in, year out doesn't relate to $$$ in the till.

I will say the same thing I say every year. Buy what you want and leave the rest. You might like the home jersey and another fan of your club might like an event jersey. Everyone has different tastes and this is what this is all aimed at. Selling merch and making money for the parties involved. Including your club!

I think "half the people" is really just Stallion posting the same thing over and over.

If anything I think in recent years most clubs have done more to get back to or stick with a core identity with a handful of exceptions. Event jerseys are now a thing in modern sport and aren't going anywhere. Good post

Raiders women in League jersey.

https://www.raiders.com.au/news/2018/04/19/raiders-to-recognise-women-in-league-on-saturday/

wil-jersey-image.jpg

It has the words include, engage, and respect printed on it as well as the Valkyrie logo on the back of the collar, apparently that makes it a "women's" jersey...

I'm not normally one to bag out jerseys, or to get worked up about such things generally, but this is the worst jersey I've seen in a long while.
If the gradient was green I could accept it, but as it is it just looks shit and has not context in relation to the club or it's cause whats so ever.
