Did they just leak the QLD jersey themselves? Even with how the logo will look like?

I really hope not. The chevron has no place on an Origin jersey

Hopefully just a generic background based off the QRL logo.

Filled out an NRL Fan survey today and a question came up about jerseys and whether I would be willing to buy a cheaper sponsorless official jersey, so not the cheap shit you get at Best & Less.

Maybe the NRL are considering it as an option.

I did that too. I spent the whole thing bitching about the low-quality designs of NRL Merch and i hope others did the same...

We all know how shit it is having clubs totally change their jersey ever year (ive never bought a jersey because i know it will look nothing like the club jumper in a matter of months).

But the peripheral merchandise (scarfs, beanies, polo shirts) is a million times worse. The club seem to spend a grand total of 3 minutes thinking about this stuff before they start to produce it and it really shows.

The simple fact that there is almost no options for beach gear shows just how little the clubs think about this. NRL areas are hot, so beanies and jumpers dont cut it. Boardshorts and the like are what people where on the weekends in Sydney and Brisbane; why dont they TRY to sell to their market?!?!?!?!??!

people wear board shorts in winter in sydney? i’d reckon scarves and beanies are pretty appropriate for a winter sport.

A lot of the cheaper stuff is done by companies that apply to be licenced merchandisers. I doubt the clubs get to approve it but the NRL would.

To the ground, sure. But how many people are walking around the streets of Sydney or Brisbane on a 25degree day in a scarf?

Random people walking the street in NRL branded gear is the best advertising the game can get, but the only people who wear the shit they are currently putting out (jerseys and those shitty polo shirts) are crazy bogans no one wants to talk to.

Just because you own a scarf doesn't mean you have to wear it when its not cold enough. Perhaps a cap might be more appropriate when its hot?

So you're not a fan of shitty polo shirts and jerseys but want what, shitty t-shirts and shorts?

I don't wear NRL gear outside game day myself but wasn't aware those who did were crazy bogans no one wants to talk to. You sound like the lunatic here, pal.

At first glance, not a fan of the change, it may grow on me a bit. Certainly an improvement on the last few years.
