NSW's 2018 shorts: Perfect.
NSW's 2018 jersey: Freakin' hell. Chevrons... How can they keep getting the concept of a sky blue jersey so wrong for so long?! I knew it was coming when they implemented the more subtle white chevrons the past year or two, but come on. Yes, the double chevron is an iconic image by League in Australia, but it's getting to be overkill. Remember what happened with the Australian kit a couple of years ago? Chevrons on the jersey, shorts, and socks. It looks great on the jersey, but just looked wayyy too much on the other items of clothing. So they've toned it down since and the kit looks so much better now.

While the blue double-chevron doesn't look bad, it's not NSW State Of Origin. It should be more like the Under 20s NSW jersey or NSW Residents or something like that.

Agreed that its way overused. Thankfully NRL clubs have toned it down from a few years back, something like 10/16 clubs had them?

That and everyone started calling V's "chevrons". Its a technically correct description but is so much wankier than saying "V". It seemed to switch over when the ARLC released the new NRL logos, and definitely should have reverted the moment "with the chevrons on our chest" was uttered a few weeks back.

Could Brydens logo have been bigger? They also appear on top of the nswrl logo. So much for the Tooheys Blues

Whoever decided to put that V design on the NSW sleeve, only to immediately cover it with the nib logo, needs a smack upside the head. Its not as if nib hasn't been on the sleeve for years now.
Just the one?

I would have thought closer to a dozen.

Not bad from that limited vision, nice and simple, might have to buy one this year.

I have feeling this jersey is fake. Looks like someone has just modified the old CCC design - the collar and presentation doesn't match ISC

Is the NSW perfect? No, far from it
Is it better than the NSW jersey of the last few years
HELL YEAH - about 2,000,000%

shows how f**king bad our jerseys have been

Definitely a major improvement - so whilst I am not jumping for joy, I'm not spitting chips either.

NSW - where "It's ok" is seen as a major victory
Sigh

I'm betting it will look even better when four lines of "commemorative text" are stitched onto the V.

Leaked?

QRL had an article three days ago on their website telling everyone that IS had taken over as front of jersey sponsor.

Not sure how legit the jersey is given XXXX is normally on it though.

V is for single, chevrons is for concurrent. Would've thought that's fairly simple.

The daily telegraph said it was leaked and had the photo up on their website.

Do you always have to be a forum cop?

LOL good old Tele, publishing completely unverifiable photos.

Also I don't know what was 'forum cop' about that, I was simply pointing out whatever you had posted wasn't necessarily new news so to speak. Sorry I offended you

Sky blue is a lighter colour, so having a darker shade of navy feature more prominently on the jersey in the form of the v's gives it a better contrast while sticking to a more traditional design. Being picky, I'd have integrated the Bryden's logo text or even made the entire logo a bit smaller, but apart from that I'm happy with it.

V is for single, V's/double V/triple V/... is for concurrent
Chevron is for single, chevrons is for concurrent

Would've thought that's fairly simple.
That might be how you view it, but in league it seems to be the way I've illustrated it. For the Dragons, where it's a single instance, it's referred to as a V. Where two or more appear, the word chevron comes into play.

Certainly rolls off the tongue easier than trying to say "double v" or "triple v"
