Anyone no the score for Mounties vs Brothers? NSWRL website isn't reporting this competition and the Mounties website hasn't even mentioned that the game was on. I know that Mounties is busy doing $300 million of extensions on their 2 biggest clubs but a tweet does not take long.

This weekend they were even able to criticise NSWRL for not using "positive langauge" in describing their win in ISP lol

Draws (minus venues and times) are up for RMC and Shield in the NSWRL Season Guide they posted yesterday. Full release with proper info should be this week, apparently one club is dragging the chain

Asquith were down 2 tries to 1 at halftime, and leveled it despite having two players sent to the sin bin in the second half at different stages. Fielded a much stronger side than last week vs Wests.

Burwood were clearly taking the preseason competition seriously - opting to take a shot at goal with just five minutes left - which they missed.

The sin bins didn't hurt Asquith because Pat Weisner knew that the Challenge Cup had been classified as trials and teams were allowed to send on replacements. This did not occur last week when Blacktown scored 2 tries in the final minutes when Guildford had only 11 and the ref stopped the game to count the players to ensure that no replacements were not sent on.

The Newtown coach was watching and a lot of the Burwood players have trained with the Jets all summer and played in trials for them in February so they all want to grab a spot if a vacancy comes up.

CBGW was only team to beat one of the CRL teams last year so they would want the opportunity to go one better this year but it looks like Wenty will get the chance this year.

I think you will find that Pat Weisner had a lot to do with getting Ben Fisher back to play. Both are really good mates. They both played Super League together in England.

Also Asquith were on the end of a 16-4 penalty count so to come away with a draw was an amazing effort.
