Wenty 26 Wests 18
Blacktown 28 Asquith 21
Glebe Burwood 18 Mounties 16
Asquith scored 3 tries in the first 15 minutes and were so dominant it looked like a cricket score would result but then didn't add to the total until a field goal just before the break. Another try just after half time made it 21-0 and some how they lost. This was a Blacktown home game it took place at Sefton. I was told that this occurred because Pat Weisner and other Asquith staff have been banned from entering Blacktown's grounds. If true, it would be entertaining to see this challenged in the Licensing Court.
A similar turnaround occurred at Henson where Mounties scored 4 tries in the first half hour but crucially missed every goal. Glebe Burwood scored 3 converted tries after half time and held the lead for the final 20 minutes. Joel Luani played his first game for Mounties since switching from Bulldogs/Cabra and Latrell Schaumkel and Josh Saunders Jones backed up from their interchange roles in the earlier ISP game, it being Schaumkel's first game back since he was one of 3 GB players suspended after the game against Cabra.
