There are 3 types of teams playing in the SS and RM .
Those that are completely stand alone
those that have a relationship and get some players from comps above
and those like Moorebank who are basically there primarily for the a feeder and have mostly players send down.

Now Moorebank are quite successful this year (mainly because the coach is allowed to coach) but the odd occasion they are not able to use many Bulldogs players is a valid situation and reason for a dip in form.

the only piss poor thing about it is people's inability to understand different clubs operate differently.
Yes Moorebank rely on the Bulldogs Flegg but thats what they are all about
Thats ridiculous mate.
Moorebank would not be forking out all the expenses to enter a team, player payments etc etc if they thought their role was to just simply be a bulldogs feeder ,thats crazy,no club in there right mind should spend all that $ just to be a feeder and have zero ambition to win a comp. You cant win a comp relying on different players dropping down each week. ..Auburn were the feeder for years and before them St Johns, before them Sydney Bulls - All of these clubs had a CORE squad.Thats why they were succesfull at the Jim Beam,Bundy,RMC level. Not for just relying on players dropping down.Chester Hill (another former bulldog feeder) had that approach - success does not come that way as you saw with that club.

For several years after the Sydney Bulls started it was Bulls players that were taken by the Bulldogs when required. In their first year the Bulls did not make the top 4 but the Bulldogs ISP took 2 of the Bulls players for the finals and won the premiership.

About 2006, 2 or 3 ISP players started appearing in the Bulls side and then down the track the ISP started playing in Bulls jerseys and there were an increased number of Bulldogs in the Bulls JBC side. Then the Bulldogs wanted to put a majority in the side and when the Bulls refused, the Bulldogs managed to take the Bulls sponsor Bankstown Sports. The Bulls folded and Bankstown Sports put in a team who were all Bulldogs, they lasted one season and got their first win in Round 15. That was the start of the degeneration of the JBC/RMC.

Player Payments only are for players who sign up with Moorebank, seeing as most are from Bulldogs, the payments come from them, rather than us. I just wish the Bulldogs put more money in to us, as we're here backing up them, using our equipment and budget with them (like the first aid kits, buses etc.)

Telling us about how we have zero ambition of winning (completely false, we want to win, and we will try our best), is there anything you can think of, that can help our situation?

Being a feeder club has financial benefits, as you mentioned a lot of more banks players are paid by the bulldogs.
Windsor withdrew from the SS and RMC 2 years ago primarily because they couldn't afford to pay all the players after st Mary's became the primary feeder club for penrith , replacing Windsor as penriths primary feeder club.

I was just talking about Windsor the other day to a few mates. I really enjoyed going out there for a game, the grandstand and field were really nice, staff very friendly... It's sad a field like that is hard to find.

Shane Miller will back up this week against workers after scoring aginst asquith and showing his dominance in the Halves...

Predictions for workers vs hills? Both hungry teams

Whats so interesting about these squads?

The more interesting game would be glebe vs saints
Id rather watch brothers play then moorebank and Cabra:joy:
I said a couple of interesting games- due to their positions on the SS ladder, nothing to do with squads dopey
Feel free to watch brothers get flogged for the remainder of the year if you like.

Mate im not saying there is anything wrong with that or the arrangement you both have.My point is DONT RELY on players dropping down to be the reason for a loss or win,Moorebank is situated in a great location in terms of attracting players - Canterbury Junior club,on the Liverpool/ Campbelltown borders as well as out skirts of Sutherland near by.Attracting players to the club to create a core squad,a strong squad, not dependant on Flegg kids shouldnt be a problem.
A Grade seemed to have a decent team last year,a few older boys who had promising junior careers in there.

I think we have to rely on them for the rest of 2018, I really do hope we can do our own thing and have our own main squad in 2019. Dependency has its ups and downs...

I hope in 2019 that A-Grade and us can have a bigger combined squad. They do have some good players. Just gotta work around the rules of the A-Grade comp

RMC

Mounties 30 Guildford 20
Cabra 42 Asquith 6
St Marys 38 Glebe Burwood 16
Wenty 64 Brothers 10
Blacktown 23 Hills 22

3 dominant wins and 2 contests. Mounties had a few more players this week after putting on their weakest combination this year against Cabra last week. Twice the game was locked up on the back of huge sidesteps from Josh Lewis. Just before half time it did it all himself to go to the break 10-10 and then late in the game he again split Mounties wide open to lead to Rickard nabbing his second touchdown and a 20-20 scoreline. A few minutes later both sides were reduced to 11 men and Mounties had the best of the last 5 minutes.

Hills led for a significant part of the game and Blacktown evened the score just as Hills had 2 marched with 7 minutes left and Honeti Tuha landed a drop goal with a minute to spare. St Marys winger/fullback Alan Fitzgibbon is the second top tryscorer in SS and when given a chance in RMC yesterday he scored a hattrick against Glebe Burwood. Mana Aonga and Eli Roberts backed up for Wenty in RMC after playing in SS.

SS

St Marys 52 Belrose 12
Asquith 28 Cabra 8
Blacktown 50 Hills 16
Wenty 50 Brothers 32
Moorebank 38 Guildford 26

Games went pretty much as might be expected although Wenty are giving away too many points and Guildford put on a good show considering that they only had 14 players after Alec Bush and Saimone Lasalo had to play RMC to cover for injuries and Jayden Field was in Flegg.
