a bit unfair to be analysing them on form over the last couple of seasons. those blokes have played good matches in origin. it's very rare to half a freak like Slater still playing at a high level into their 30s. even thurston has struggled this season.

far more average players who've played double digit origin matches for NSW and did f**k all.

was there an argument that boyd should never have been selected when he was? unlike pearce, he did what he was selected to do. run the ball back, defend the wing, put the ball down over the stripe, and don't have a brain fart. many NSW wingers couldn't do any of that correctly.
