I think it will help the Blues that the game was a hard and tight unlike the first matches of 2013 and 2017 where we were convincing winners and might’ve had that go to the head. They had to come from behind and fight hard the whole way tonight.

The better team won but the pass from Maloney left his hand before the 10 m line and Addo Car caught it after the 10 m line. With NSW winning the penalty count 4-1 it's going to be pretty hard for some of the posters on here to carry on about Sutton favouring QLD from now on.

Oh dear another one who doesn't understand the laws of momentum.
You’re the one who doesn’t understand it you f**k.

You don’t get f**king forward momentum when you’re running sideways you f**king moron.

f**k me, there’s dumb and then there’s you.

Good game NSW, well deserved. Qld have issues up front but Napa did respond last year after he got monstered in game 1.

You don't win games when your front row combination combines for 130 metres and second row combines for 155 metres.

I really struggle to see the value to players like Milford and even Peachey to an extent being used as bench players in origin.

Morgan was serviceable at FB, he made some decent last ditch tackles and only looked shaky under one high ball, not sure why he’s copping shit. The outside backs bar Inglis were rocks and diamonds. Gagai’s f**k up was the turning point.

Was interesting to see after the 2nd last NSW try, QLD looked like they were arguing with each other in the huddle.....

First channel 9 game I’ve watched all year, absolutely f**king pathetic commentary. Rabs needs to be put in a home, and Gould has NFI-

‘ you’ll see Cleary stop and then have to go back infield because his winger Trebovic had vacated the right wing so Cleary had no one to throw it to....’ meanwhile the replay is playing as he’s saying this shit and Turbo is clearly still on his f**king wing on the right hand side. f**king infuriating to have to listen to these absolute ass muppets commentate on a game that is one of the showpiece events on our calendar.

Well done you Blue merkins.

No penalties to Queensland for the last 77 minutes of the game despite 2 clear strips, clear blockers, a double movement, multiple offsides, markers standing next to the play the ball and a couple of punches thrown in for good measure.

NSW don’t win without Gerard Sutton and that’s a fact.
Throw in the forward pass in the set for Mitchell’s try and the pass for JACs try

I already commented we had nothing in attack but there aren't many other options for us, DCE?

We need to roll the dice and blood the likes of Ponga to bring something else to the side, no longer can we just be competitive for 70 minutes and then bank on Cronk, Smith or Thurston to get us out of it
Ponga should have been there. Absolutely no doubt.

As a NSW supporter, please put DCE in

Having a chuckle at NSW fans digging it into Cordner but are quite comfortable with Cleary's performance, he was just a body in defense, that's it.. and spare me the "it was his debut" bullshit, if NSW get beat he's the first hooked

You kind of expect more from your halfback

At least he had excuses. The qld halves are veterans and missed simple tackles all night.

No just accurately describing his performance
Well if you're a QLDer he was easily their best forward.

He just wasted tackles with ineffective 7m gains with each run. Terrific replacement for Pail Gallen. I'll just waste tackles with shit runs.

Cordner was OK, Cleary was good. Both will be back next game. Will Hunt be first hooked?

Hunts bombing Turbo every 5th tackle was very frustrating. Definition of insanity....
I'll admit, he played better than i thought he would. Still wasnt good enough though.....
