Maloney’s pass that led to a Qld Try was a mile forward. It isn’t NFL, you do know that don’t you?
The better team won but the pass from Maloney left his hand before the 10 m line and Addo Car caught it after the 10 m line. With NSW winning the penalty count 4-1 it's going to be pretty hard for some of the posters on here to carry on about Sutton favouring QLD from now on.

No penalties to Queensland for the last 77 minutes of the game despite 2 clear strips, clear blockers, a double movement, multiple offsides, markers standing next to the play the ball and a couple of punches thrown in for good measure.

NSW don’t win without Gerard Sutton and that’s a fact.
You make the Raiders woes even funnier, and that is no mean feat.

Would you prefer him not to look for work and take the tough runs? None of the other forwards seemed willing.
Looks for work? He defends at outside centre and comes in for a 2m out of his own 20m line. I thought he was some amazing line runner that can score a try?

I’d rather he did that.

Spine matchups proved the difference IMO. Nsw halves kicked managed and directed better than the Qlders. McCullough defends admirably but doesnt have a state of origin level running or kicking game. And Morgan tried his heart out and can hold his head up high, but Tedesco was simply amazing and made a way bigger impact.
Nsw way too good tonight across the park. Proud of Qlds defensive efforts and grit, but methinks they need to pick in form young players like Ponga to flare up the attack a bit.
Congrats Blues, great game, bring on #2!

I’ll give Cordner 1 thing and that’s gee he takes the tough runs that others don’t. When the goings hard he seems to be the 1 st to put his hand up. Don’t mind his defence either. Looked after Maloney all night. Thought Cleary went ok but his kicking game reminded me of pearces. New team and young blokes will only get better
