Did they value Cordner's territory, Cook's spark, Teddy's line breaks, Maloney's game management, Mitchell's strength on the edge? Slater just stood out for QLD. Tries from an intercept and a kick in Game 1 to the threat and damage he caused in Games 2 & 3. His influence for QLD and the series was clear cut.

Thing is there aren't multiple sets of points per team. There's one set of points per game. No one from the losing side should've been getting points in 1 or 2, considering how good multiple players from NSW were. Essentially he shouldn't have had any points until game 3.

Yeah it shouldn’t matter how there points system ends up being, common sense tells you it should go to the winning team.

It’s much easier for a decent player to stand out in an average team, they could have given it to any of Cook, Turbo, Maloney or even Cordner and no one would have cared

The well known players with the reputation always get the points over guys new on the scene, if a Slater, Smith, Thurston has a solid game with a couple of noticeable plays they will always get some points. Guys like Cook or Tedesco have to have an absolute blinder to get in the points.

Unless they change the system to ruling out any players from the loosing team then this can easily happen in a close series, but if there is a better player in the losing side then it still wouldn't be fair.
