Would have been interesting had the bunnies been penalised for holding down in the lead up to that field goal, it was a clear sin bin job but storm may not have converted from the spot.

PTB speed becomes less relevant though when the defensive line only has to retreat 6 or 7 metres. It was like watching a yawnion defensive line at times. Its tricky, but how about just ref the f**king rules, especially when its so blatant and just taking the piss at the rest of the season, and how teams have reached where they are.

I still can't fathom what I just witnessed. We just lost an NRL final due to tired misses late in each half, and we left TWO players unused on the bench. Beyond idiotic.

A great game is a given when you have two high quality teams and the refs letting the game flow. How can you have anything else? This is why state of origin is so good every year.

Storm were far too good to complain about the reffing. They were just better in the crucial moments.

However .. the follow are facts, that Souths can fell duded about:

Players were standing off side all night.

A short 10 disadvantages the best attacking team.

Souths have the best attack in the comp.

Souths depend on Cook and his runs out of dummy half. He was completely nullified because of the short 10.

Souths now have have to back up next week, and they could be forgiven for being tired after after that marathon.
