Round 1, the dragons looked a lot better last week but I still didn’t rate them, after tonight no one would either (bar their own fans).
They smashed Broncos.
The scraped in a win over Sharks.

Sitting ontop of the ladder with 2/2 wins. While Broncos sit at the bottom with ZERO wins.

Sorry i forgot what point i was making. Broncos are shit. Pretty sure that's where I was going with it.

Dragons didn't set the world on fire that 2nd half, but to be fair, they didn't have to. Did enough, with their opponents imploding.

It was one of those games you feel like asking the coach to give the whole reserve squad a game next week, even if we lose, just to show the firsts they are not indispensable.

5 completed sets second half. 3 dropped tries. Penalties when we have the 1 man overlap. Just horrible play. That is the worst half of football I have seen in a long time.

Well done Dragons. You were crap, and had some luck, but we were more crap and deserved everything we got.

That breeze was worth more but you guys couldn’t capitalise on it or the wealth of possession we gifted you. It will click but I think you have a bit more pain before you get there(a lot of new players need to gel).
The 2 points is welcome but the likes of Melbourne & NQ won’t be shaking in their boots based on that.
Crazy game though.

True, I just don’t rate the dragons, the squad just feels fragile, I expect them to drop away after round 10, running off enthusiasm alone atm.

Frustrating for us. Imagine doubly so for you guys.

IMO the turning point was taking the 2 at the start of the sin bin. All downhill from there. If you don’t go for goal, reckon we lose.

Well I'm a happy fan right now. If this season goes downward like 2017 and 2016 I can at least say we beat the Broncos and the Sharks.

The Sharks had a bad 2nd half but I still rate them. When Moylan comes good they have a gun backline, Fafita and Prior aren't the worst front row running around.

Local derbies are the kinds of games that the craziness happens and still its only rd 2.

I hope so. But we got more erratic as last year progressed, culminating in implosions to lose games and miss the 4, and an implosion at the end of an elimination final.

Playing "ok" and defending "ok" for parts of the first 50 or so minutes, then playing as bad as is humanly possible is becoming a habit for us.

Doesn't matter what "names" we have if they can't take kick offs, catch tries, hold the ball on the first tackle, keep the ball in on a kick off, play 5 minutes without giving away a penalty etc. Horrible play (not just poor, or being outplayed, but mind numbingly terrible stuff) is all too common, and might be the end of us (and possibly Flanagan if it stays this bad, I rate him but we can't be so bad without knives coming out) for this year.

Strange, chaotic, derp-riddled second half but ultimately a game we would have lost last year, or the couple of years prior. Sharks with huge improvement in them but they are bloody tough to knock over at home. To come back from 14-0 down and still be well below our best says this club may finally be moving in the right direction. Pretty sweet to wipe the smug grin off Dugan's scone too.
See you sharkies again in about a month!
