Absolute shit way to win, games should not be decided by the ref in that fashion. The penalty could have easily gone the other way. It should have been a draw with both teams getting one point. Well done tigers and Cleary, your defence is out of this world and your team is playing for each other with a lot of spirit. If you can maintain that defence and work on the attack you will win a lot more games this season.

What a shit way to end the week having to watch that game, apologies to all of the neutral fans.
Good luck for the rest of the season mate.

I thought they'd eventually get spanked, you just can't continue to play the way they do without it taking it's toll, I didn't think we'd win tonight if it was a scrap

Be interesting to see how they go from here on in, they definitely need to release the pressure on themselves by scoring a few tries

I'm not sure if their attack can improve enough. They haven't really shown any signs of being a threat in attack despite having a lot of opportunities and I'm struggling to see where points will come from. It might take some time, but teams will figure out their defensive strategies and adjust. That itself is a credit to Cleary as a coach regardless.

well that leaves a sour taste in the mouth. but... sadly it would have left me very sore and bitter once upon a time. now im a bit older and wiser it doesnt hurt that much. no im not surprised the broncos got that miracle decision go their way. Surprising would have been to see the tigers get a penalty in gp in any situation let alone that same ruck with the shoe on the other foot. i would love to see a stat of which clubs have received a penalty to decide golden point. i have no idea but im guessing clubs like the tigers, raiders, knights and titans would not feature in such a stat.

The sides you mention are usually thoroughly beaten in 80 minutes that probably explains their lack of calls in golden point

Yep let's just forget about the Bird no try that would have made all this whinging redundant...
You mean the one that was proven to be no try? There was no downward pressure and tbe ball did not change in rotation or deviation. There are so many moments throughout the whole game where we both could argue bad calls. I think the result should have been a draw which would have been a fair result for both teams.

That was a try. Everyone knows it. Not many are prepared to admit it.
