Really hope one of our reserve backs from last night gets Dallin’s spot on the wing for round one.
Caleb Aekins was a handful at fullback and I thought Tom Eisenhuth also had a really good game. Maika Sivo needs to work on his defence but was dangerous with the ball in hand and Christian Crichton was also very solid
Meanwhile Peachey was a liability defending at centre. He actually scored his try after popping up in support in the middle of the field where I believe he is best suited
Hopefully Peach spends time at lock in next week’s trial and Aekins, Eisenhuth, Sivo and Crichton can back up last night’s efforts

Yeah it was Cleary’s vision and skill. Peachey just backed it up after the work was done.

Watching the highlights the 2 tries that impressed me most were Peachey and Sivos second one.

Cleary splitting the line and finding Peachey in support. Luai I think putting in a smart kick after creating a bit of a gap for Sivo to score. Halves breaking the line and putting guys away.

Also not sure how Roosters making an error from a bomb and us kicking it back to them on zero tackle is highlight worthy. That was a stupid play. Gave up 7 tackles in great field position.

That's hilarious. He won't get much out of that.

Did you watch Maloney off the ball? He did all the directing and talking, even pushing Kikau into position at one point. Everyone seemed to listen as well. Seemed to help Cleary a lot while they were on.

It shows BA is dedicated to his club though.

Did anyone else notice that Yeo led us out of the tunnels as well? Maybe an indication that he’s our new vice captain

Not only that when he and Edwards came off they had a long chat. Pointing towards the field and Edwards nodding and laughing at the end. That is what experience buys

Good updates from everyone. Thanks.

Good to hear both Luai & Leota had good games. I think they’ll both get plenty of minutes this year.

Tommy Eisenhuth just keeps keeping on. What a story that would be if he works his way back into first grade contention.

One thing that could be possible is a move for Mansour into the backrow. I could see him a a bustling lock.

But we might simply not have the money. Sounds like things are tight with the salary cap.
One of the busted points about trying to keep under the cap is when multiple players come of contract within a year or so of each other. As in our case when groups of players were promoted to the top 30 in one go. I think it's now where Gould and co are juggling with one hand in how to deal with the cap in future,so I'm led to believe.

Sivo won't be ready for Round 1. Defence is ordinary when the highlights come up you will see what I mean.

Both their 2nd half tries were misses from him. Not FG quality yet. Should play next trial so can see what he has. The backup fullback Aekins looks next in line out of NSW Cup players
Yep,he was found out in two minds.
