Great effort to bowl them out, wish they'd done it for maybe 50 runs less though, 258 isn't a great score but it's something for England to bowl at.

Hopefully our frail batting order backs up Smith and we can get to a big total, given the weather forecast a big first innings score could be the best way to win this.

With Marcus Harris waiting in the wings somethings got to give with the Warner/Bancroft duo.
Hope Bancroft can get runs here since he's at least still out there and can catch.
Gotta get a solid first innings lead.

Warner is not going to be dropped anytime soon, we’ve carried Khawaja through leaner times and he doesn’t have near the record Warner does.

In Warner’s defence that was a bloody good nut.

He needs to score runs soon though. Especially if Bancroft can get a score tonight.

I get the horses for courses scenario of playing Siddle in the 1st test, but a bit baffling why you play him here

Still in a good position though with the two best batsmen in world cricket due in at 4 and 6 for us. Happy days

This post is ripe for Haynetrain to make a joke about what type of horse Siddle is

You rely too much on statistics.

Khawaja has often been the scapegoat for the team's poor performances .

Warners credits were used up the day he decided to instruct his junior team mate to cheat.

Cricket is pretty much the most stats driven game there is, more precise for measuring impact than most other sports.

My original post wasn’t necessarily meant as a criticism of Khawaja anyway, it was more to show its unlikely Warner will be dropped. He might’ve used up credits for you, but I doubt he has for Langer.

Bancroft's batting is a complete dog's breakfast. He's barely looked comfortable once out there.

How he has reached the pinnacle of the game with this many flaws in his technique is one of lifes true mysteries.
