Quality comeback from Australia after the heart-break at Headingly. The way this Test started, it could have been easy for them to fold but on the back of Smith Australia rose to the occassion and proved a class above. Any hope of a comeback was dispelled by some brilliant bowling and while the bottom order toiled hard the mission proved far too great.
Well done to all the true believers who stayed up and watched this. It's been 18 years since Australia were able to walk out of England with the Ashes and this is well worth savoring.
Reminds me of staying up all night listening on the radio when we saved a test in 2005...and when Harris bowled us to a SA series win in 2014. I think i need a hobby tbh
Ladies and gentlemen,18 years since we last regained the Ashes on English soil, what was different this year from those previous 18? Matt Wade being in the team
History is made when you have fighters like Wadey hanging around pissing people off
