They points were deducted from rhe 2018 season,so they finished -4.
They will start on 0 like all others (except the kougars) this season.Have signed an entire new team.Interesting to see how they go

Bradford off to a good start knocking off Featherstone by 1.
Leigh surprised Toulouse, and Toronto held York scoreless but in a tight, low scoring affair.

With a top 5 finals in place and only 1 promotion spot it's gonna be an intense season.
Widnes and Toronto obvious favourites but Toulouse, Leigh, Bradford, Featherstone and a number of other clubs have to fancy their chances.

A close first half - Toulouse were up by two at halftime 18-16, but Widnes dominated in the second.

Went to the barrow game it was very close but ended on a sour note as there was a mix up between the horn and the time left remaining on the scoreboard.
Meaning sheffield got to take a penalty goal after the horn whilst the board said 2 mins were remaining and the players clearly believed they had time remaining. Had the board shown the correct time barrow would have probably gone for a drop goal in the previous set.
Finished 22-24.
Attendance of 1514 I think.

Barra are going to be a tough nut to crack at their own place. Not a bad crowd either considering the eagles don’t travel in big numbers and the weather. Should see barra post a few 2k+ crowds this season.

Toronto director of rugby Brian Noble insists the Wolfpack’s new TV deal can only be a positive for the growth of the Championship.

Rugby League’s first transatlantic side struck a deal with Sky Sports to ensure that all their home and away games will be shown live for the first time on the channel.

The agreement means that all second-tier sides will have at least two games shown on TV in 2019, and Noble thinks the game as a whole will be all the better for it.

“It’s exciting times and I think there’s been a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes to ensure that it happens,” he told loverugbyleague.com.

“We’re really chuffed with the fact that we’ll be shown every week, home and away.

“We think that the Championship is a wonderful competition. We’ve earned our stripes in relation to climbing the league ladder, but everything that we have tried to do along the way is tinged by an element of positivity.”
Despite their rise to the Championship, Noble accepts that there are many fans who are sceptical of what the Wolfpack are trying to do.

Nevertheless, he believes that Toronto are doing everything for the right reasons as they bid to make rugby league a major sport in North America.
When asked about the discontent towards Toronto, he said: “I don’t know [why]. That’s something that others have to articulate, but we deal with facts, and the facts will show that we’ve been nothing but positive for the game.

“We feel that North America has fabulous potential. We’ve made some mistakes along the way, but on the whole, everything that we’ve done has been largely positive.

“Canadians love the game and Americans love the game, so why not tell people that?”

Toronto and Toulouse comfortable winners last night - Toronto 30-6 over Widnes in the double header at Newcastle, Toulouse thumped Rochdale 42-12.

On Friday night Sheffield beat Bradford 24-10.
