How close is he to Cleary? That's who has to agree to it.

I don't want Cleary because he's got a contract at the Tigers who would want to keep him, and I'd be astounded if he would come back to Penrith, especially since its Nathan Gus is after not him. He's not stupid you know. Bennett only if he wins us a comp and the Broncs don't want him. I wouldn't mind Des either. Not a great communicator though which might not make him popular with the fans, but his record as a coach is impeccable. I think a lot of very good coaches would like to get the gig with this squad.

The other option is Ciraldo, we'll have to see how he goes as Gus's assistant/mouthpiece.
