Bennett appears to have motivational, disciplinary and analytical skills that Hook, and every other coach this side of Bellyache, would die for. His recruitment doesn't seem to be what it once was though.

Would be easy enough to let Gus/club handle recruitment and just let Bennett and the staff coach.

From what I understand though Bennett uses his assistant coaches a lot, so that in itself would be a different strategy to Griffin.

If Griffin could learn to use his assistants then he’d be a good asset at a club.

Once Warriors and Broncos won last week. It was always a good chance Tigers would phone it in this week. It was that or a masterclass of their own.

Sadly that loss means Souths are first... and Storm need to win to get the minor premiership. They will be very motivated to beat us.

The Rabbitohs are 34 behind the Storm on F/A while equal on points. The Bunnies wouldn't want us to beat the Storm by that many anyway, its a safe bet they are happy to play the Roosters next week which seems all but assured now. So long as the Roosters can account for the spooners. Good outcome for the NRL too.

Shit i had their f/a confused with Roosters before the game. Thinking the big win put them ahead of Storm.

I guess if we won by enough it could do that. Lol

There's quite a few articles this morning based on last nights presser. Just pick one that suits you.
For example-
Fox sports- "Cleary refuses to rubbish Penrith coaching rumours"
SMH- " Ivan Cleary refuses to guarantee Tigers post in 2019"
NRL- " ...Ivan Cleary makes his future clear"
It's all based on what Ivan didn't say. You're better off just watching the presser and making up your own mind.

He basically said he was sticking to his previous statement which said he was staying.

The problem is a good coach will stand up to Gus...So it is no benefit for Gus to do so

Thats right.
A coach here is better standing up with the puppet master Gould pulling the strings. We can't have anyone else standing up by themselves:p
