Give it a month and if Parra keep playing like they have they will start drawing 30k. Might even give the Broncos a shake as the highest attended team

Yes. The new stadium will be awesome. Shame some encouraging crowds are not happening in Sydney! Meanwhile the glorified training run at the SCG probably has more than 25000. It's almost embarassing. It is embarassing for the code no doubt!

Swans are no good this year... watch their crowds shrink.

It could have been worse ,Roosters/Titans.

You sharks fans are an uptight bunch.

That wasn't an attack on the sharks or the titans for that matter, it was an attack on the scheduling, specifically having a Thursday game in magic round.

After all the crap we've inflicted on ourselves and all the crap thrown at us as a result, is it any wonder the club's fans are uptight.

Was shocked how poor the crowd was last night given parra 2/2. It was perfect conditions out there. Maybe charging $35 to sit in away supporters general Admission and another $35 for 4 mid strength beers is a turn off for people. View wise it was and improvement on scg. At least we had a screen to see the game clock.

These Friday night games at modern stadiums with public transport access are killing crowds. Back to suburban spiritual homes!

Mate whilst you continue to compare Melbourne with their stadiums near stations in a city that is far smaller in area than Sydney, with the mish mash and ordinary stadiums in Sydney, you are whistling in the wind.
I go to Thursday nights and 6pm and much a possible,my family cannot .

I had to put RDO's in for our 6pm games. Not everyone can

This.

These f**king clowns call themselves the "home of rugby league" yet do shit in front of empty bays when there are plenty of full ones to choose from.

Given time restraints for halftime. Why waste time moving? They always do the closest spot to the tunnel

Shoould we discount tickets on Friday night as well stallion?

Think in general they(entry prices)are too high for the competitive scenario the code find itself in. I know it's a facetious remark from yourself but has merit believe it or not?!

But but centralised Stadiums will fix crowds

They will help, but only if the stadium is suitable. Anz is sht and everyone knows it, centralised at the end of your street it is still sht for club games. Wait till fans experience wss and if they still don’t turn out then we might as well give it up as a hopeless case.

WSS is really just a glorifed suburban ground. Direct trains and close to where people live is why it will work

Not if three clubs end up playing out of it. Centralised represents a geographical location but also a shared stadium that is drawing fans from different clubs in a large catchment area.

And the more games played out of a single venue the more incentive there is for state and local governments to improve access and facilities. People seem to bang on about Melbourne having better transport to its stadiums, but both of them host at least two games every round during the AFL season. Centralisation (however that plays out) might put a team further away geographically but it doesn’t mean it would automatically be more difficult for fans to get to the game.

As for ANZ, until it’s redeveloped I see no reason for the NRL to use it for anything other than finals and Origin. Looks terrible on TV and a mediocre atmosphere for the fans who make the effort to attend.
