I was thrown by that Broncos stat. I went to the game tonight and it certainly looked a lot bigger than the crowd at the round 1 Cowboys game.

Such a shame that we couldn’t get the win. The rock up crowd was unbelievable for a Thursday night and it seemed everyone was wishing them to win after the media beat up. Hopefully our fans keep coming now that there is no Thursday night game for a while.

Just about every ex bronco has come out of the woodwork slamming the broncos culture, mixed with Thursday and the odd shower didn’t help.

Traditionally thursdays do not do well here, other than a 44k against Melbourne and a 37k v roosters, both for Hodges and Parker’s last I don’t think we have had many over 30k.

Let’s not forget that against the tigers on a Friday would only really draw 25-30k.

The broncos released some $20 tickets the last couple of days but the marketing was non existant. People in Brisbane just know that if they are to go to the broncos game they will be set back $40+ fees for behind the post.

I would halve my salary to work for them and give them some ideas.
I picked up one of those $20 tickets after seeing it mentioned here last week, would have expected those areas to be filled but not the case, as you say they clearly give no cares for marketing. Crowd looked and felt around the 30k mark inside. Saturday night game in two weeks should clear 35k with a win next game but some very disgruntled fans after last night

Great game, and whilst lower than normal crowd it still looked reasonable and created a good atmosphere.

Jumping ahead a bit but should be 2 good Melbourne crowds the next 2 weeks

19th v Roosters:
Friday night, GF rematch, Cronk playing in Melbourne, Kids come free, no clash with AFL, A win tonight will have us 5 from 5

25th v Warriors
Usually always sells out

Yes It seems the Broncos marketing people are reluctant to let the general public know about good deals! ? Very poor marketing attitude.

New stadium, big catchment, non-Sydney team = shit crowd.

f**king knock this stadium down and build something better. It’s obviously not working.

Yep it is all just pot luck! It’s almost as if they are just happy to have 25k. Proper promotion and offering tickets at that price and the next game against Cronulla (on a saturday!!) would be 40k

Its almost like the management that failed last time, then was allowed to buy the club again don't have a clue? Were the bidders so thin on the ground this was the best option? GC have drawn crowds of 20k so the fans are out there, the club just seems clueless in how to attract them.

Maybe it’s just not that easy.

Agree it's a poor crowd. Apparently wet weather before the game ? Penrith are also a poor drawing club. Titans also have been losing.

Ease up. They're 0 and 4 coming off a long history of rubbish, it's going to take a while to win the fans back.

Their recruitment is improving steadily, I'm feeling better about their future than I have in years.
