The best stadia are well connected to trains or light rail and at this point in time, the venue is still a decent hike from Parramatta Station and parking will be even worse than it was in the Pirtek days.
It's a pretty easy stroll to Bankwest, from the Station, past restaurants, cafe's and pubs. In saying that the Light Rail is on its way, which will make things easier. I know its still years away, but will make a big difference. I've never found parking to be too difficult at Parra!

What do you need for game day experience? EPL clubs don’t have cheer leaders, entertainment or juniors playing on the pitch and they sell out stadiums weekly.
If the stadiums were fit for purpose the game itself would be all the game day experience you would need.
You could have free blow jobs in the concourse but 15,000 people in ANZ is always going to lead to a shit game day experience.

tboon likes American sports. Because of this, he mistakenly believes Americans turn out in droves because they turn sports into events. He doesnt seem to realise theyd still turn up even if they had none of the unnecessary razzmatazz.

In America, Sydney would be considered a midsize market, and would have one team.

Thats the difference.

Observation . If there was 12000 at the Knights ground for the union last Friday week(looked 7-8000) then their is 24000 at the same ground for the Knights v Saints tonight.

With daylight savings over, a 7:50pm kickoff at Suncorp should see a better crowd than the last Thursday game.

Also went directly against AFL games at both the G and Marvel. Granted neither of those drew big crowds by AFL standards, but couldn't have helped the Storm attendance either. Great atmosphere though.

Most dissapointing crowd was the Parramatta v Cronulla game at ANZ stadium . It's clear people don't prefer this stadium but good weather and both sides doing well deserved more than 11000. Embarrassing.

I'll explain why this is wrong later or in another thread.
But my response is to do with college and high school sports and the relatively huge crowds they get in medium, small and very small towns like South Bend Indiana population 100k (where Notre Dame has numerous sports teams), College Station Texas population 100k (where Texas A&M has numerous sports teams) and Tuscaloosa Alabama.

Furthermore, compare Green Bay Packers (population 100k crowd 78k) to Brisbane Broncos (population 3mill? crowd 30k).

Round 4 Stadium Averages
(changed up the look again for ease of use reasons)

> 9/16 stadiums have improved on last years total, Newcastle's crowd made the top 10
> SCG & ANZ crowds made the bottom 10, average improvement down 2%

Screen Shot 2019-04-08 at 9.18.07 am.png

*edit*
Overall totals were off
Should be:
Played: 32, Average: 15,331, Avg. Improv.: -2%, Total: 490,598, Avg. Filled: 55%

12.5k at Brookvale on a warm Saturday afternoon was pretty much what I thought it would be. What did shock me was that there wasn't many Souths fans there. In saying that 3pm on Saturday early in the season isn't a great time slot when there is more of a chance of the weather being up in the high 20's. Does this time rate well on Fox?

People don't go to away games in numbers anymore, except for a handful of event or rivalry games.
Every game live on TV + Most dedicated fans buying season tickets makes away games a 3rd priority in sports spending.
